I initially couldn't understand why a university campus would be a tourist destination, now I do. A perfect place to walk around and escape the crowds of the Xiamen's other tourist spots. Beautiful lake and well kept gardens. Make sure you go to Lovers valley!

This university has a huge areal with very nice buildings, a lake in a big park and several guarded entries for vehicles. Even it's located in the city it is not noisy.

Walked around ...very beautiful and worth the time. Many people during spring festival.... But big enough to be away from people.

The university campus is just a beautiful park and free for all to visit and adjacent to a well known Buddhist temple. A great day out.

I've seen a few universities that are said to be among the most beautiful in China, but this one is top. The lake, the park, well-maintained old buildings and good modern architecture, and the mountain backdrop make this place stunning. The security at the gates is a bit of a drag, but they make sure that the campus doesn't get crowded. The book shop turned out to be worth visiting too, if you can read Chinese.
