Beautiful campus - it was great to walk around (although I wish there were more posted maps so I'd know where I was walking). There's a passageway/tunnel that cuts through a mountain -- it has really interesting paintings/graffiti. I also took an hour to hike the mountain, which was pleasant. Overall it was worth the half-day trip.

This is a very enjoyable place to visit for tourists, whether or not you are a student. The student life plays itself out fully before you, without any holdbacks. You can eat with the students, but have to make special payment arrangements. The Furong Tunnel is a must see for all the beautiful student graffiti.

It is a very beautiful and traditional campus compared to some other universities. The architecture here are from early 1900s so really traditional. Just that I came to here during a tourist season, so the campus suddenly turned into a park!! Full of tourist!! So next time i will come when there are less people

I have long been told of the beautiful grounds within Xiamen University but, having lived in the city for four years still had not gotten around to visiting. People are quite correct, the university feels and looks as though it has been inserted into a mostly attractive park which is pretty much how it appears to be used by the local population. Beautiful buildings to admire surrounding an equally pleasant lake where people naturally congregate. Very relaxed and laid-back feel. Made me want to return to University life!

It has a nice pond and the campus is very serene. We did a nice walk around campus and it was a nice escape from the crowded island of Gulangyu.
