We stayed here for 3 nights and had suite as we were traveling with 2 kids. Upon arrival we had a private check in in our room with a welcome drink and gift. The room was 2 bedroom/2 bathroom and quite spacious. Very clean, comfortable and quiet. The hotel pool while not large is very relaxing and tranquil, the restaurant has excellent food and free apsara show was great. The breakfast was excellent and the kids felt this breakfast was the best out of the 3 weeks we spent in se asia. Tuk Tuk ride into town is 2-3 dollars dependent on whether you could be bothered haggling over a dollar and takes 5-7 minutes. It is only 10 minutes or less to Angkor Wat. Our guide was excellent and I would recommend him to anyone (Mr Sem Vuthy). Make sure you get a fish massage in town for a couple of dollars and the elephant ride for $15 is pretty cheap compared to other countries

Their foreign staff can try to be more friendly. The hotel is newly open so there's room for improvement. Will definitely come back to Tara Angkor on my next visit to Siem Reap!

It was a pleasure to be back in a 4 star with superb air conditioning and excellent service. Breakfast was as good as I have had anywhere in Cambodia or Vietnam and in general on could not fault the menus or the staff. The rooms were spacious, well serviced and the beds comfortable. One pays for wi-fi in the rooms but there is free connection in the lobby. A great experience and the perfect place to recover from the exertions of touring the Angkor complexes.

Stayed two nights at the Tara Hotel and was impressed by the large room and bathroom, very friendly staff and great selection for breakfast. My wife visited the spa which was also good. Overal a very good experience and located close to the temples and the centre of town

We (2 adults, 13yo & 10yo) booked 3 nights directly with the hotel & from initial email communication to the end of our stay we had nothing but a positive experience!! We were picked up from the airport, welcomed at the hotel & shown directly to our rooms. Khmer hospitality was fantastic. We had a family room which was very clean & spacious - 2 king beds 2 bathrooms & a lounge area. We had a meal at the hotel and it was delicious. Pool was very refreshing after a day of trekking around the temples. The location for us was great as it was half way between town and temples. Tuk Tuk's were only $2-3USD a trip for 4 people into town. We had a wonderful tour guide sem vuthy - who we booked directly through the internet. He has good English and was knowledgeable of the temples - even having us try some local food - loved the sticky rice with banana www.khmerangkorguide.com
