We stumbled across this restaurant on our first day in Cambodia given this is quite close to our hotel and we want to just get a quick bite to eat.

We decided on the signature specials on the menu : grilled squid on a bamboo skewer and grilled Siam reap beef skewers. Everything from the grill comes with 4 complimentary sides (which you can pick 1 per grill dish you order). We picked the steam rice and the vegetables sautéed Khmer style (this was delicious!). We also went for the tapas degustation as a starter to share.

The grilled squid on bamboo was absolutely delicious and I would recommend this as a must have dish. The grilled beef skewers was good but the beef tends to be a bit tough. The tapas degustation includes: fish cake, chicken satay, grilled vegetable skewers, crispy small shrimps and samosa. The crispy small shrimps was the highlight.

Their drinks tends to be a bit high compared to a lot of the restaurants we've been to. Starting at (from memory) $2.50 for soft drinks or could be $2.25, this is quite dear compared to other high end restaurants where they start at $1.50.

Overall it was a good meal but it's not your cheapest around but service was good.

Our first choice of restaurant was full so went here instead. My crocodile was tough and my wife's fish dish was mainly squid - not here favourite. This was the only substandard meal we had in our 2 week holiday to Vietnam and Cambodia.

There was live jazz music playing when we went. Location is across the canal from where all the animation of Pub St and the night market is. It offers a nice break from the very persistent touters on the other side of the canal.
Food was very good (tapas style or main dishes), however the portions were VERY small. We had a portion of fries amongst the tapas we ordered, and we could count the fries on the plate... And all dishes were cold, like if they had been cooked earlier in the day, and just reheated to be served. We had a tiny beef steak and satay skewers. Both could have been cooked when we ordered. It's too bad, because they tasted good. They would have been great if they had been cooked just before serving.
