The temple was built over a thousand years ago and the carvings are still quite vivid and very well preserved.

I really like this temple. It is my favorite of the temples in the Angkow Wat complex.

It is not built as high as most of the others and you can walk through it with many interesting things to see and good photo opportunities

It is like a nice relaxing stroll through the temple and it's surrounds

Banteay Srei is a small temple a little distance from Siem Reap. Best to get there early before the crowds. Some of the doorway and temple carvings are among the best preserved - given the state of other structures. Dawn Rooney's guide - read before visiting the site - provides particular insights.

This place may be smaller in area with respect to Angkor Wat or Bayon, but the tiny details of story of Hindu gods is beyond explanation. Carrying a pair of Binoculars or a high zoom camera is a must before visiting this place as one cannot go near the temple structure. Taking a guide is also very important so that the things sculptured can be understood. All in all a must visit site.
