Owner description: Having undergone minimal restoration, stone pillars and carvings intertwine with massive tree roots and jungle in this stunning temple complex.

This temple is somewhat unique, as they have left much of the vegetation in place that was there when they discovered the temple, particularly the trees. Some of these are 100s of years old and they have become part of the structure that holds the temples in place.

Offering so stunning experience combining human work and the power of nature. I recommend to start with this temple as this one is the most beautiful and visit of Angkor complex is exhausting and take you all day. :)

In some ways this is an image that you may associate with the takes. Huge tree roots digging deep into the temple walls. It is quite surreal. Lovely atmosphere as you move through shady trees listening to music from land mine victims. Do support them.

The temple is great and fun. I got a little lost inside.
I went to this temple because I saw the movie Tomb Raider which as a teen I like it a lot. I was honestly expecting to take a cool picture of the tree, not a selfie. It was so hard to make it work. First, it is so crowded. Second, there are rails (hand bars) so even though you can get close by the tree you can take a cool picture. And third, you will need a really wide lens to make it worth, at least a 24mm.

This sound like a bad review, but is not. Only if you want to take a cool picture of the tree. The temple is so nice and different from the others.

Of all the Angkor temples, Ta Prohm was my favorite. It is incredible to see the enormous trees growing on top of this ancient temple. It also seemed less crowded and cooler (because of the trees)
