I stayed here for five days and it was the best villa ever. You should really book here and you are in a paradise. The good thing is that is near the city, easy walking to old market & pup street, , it’s a safe area and you have everything in the hostel. But free only 24 hours internet, Coffee & tea. The first hostel where I could sleep very well. Would highly recommended !

A pleasant hotel, well located in the centre of Siem Reap. We were only there for 3 days, most of which would be sightseeing around Ankor Wat, so we went for the basic room, overlooking the back of the hotel. A number of rooms have balconies and this might have proved to be a better option with a much pleasanter outlook.

The rooms are fairly basic with the wardrobes painted in black, making the rooms a tad gloomy. There isn’t any tiling in the bathroom, just a sort of industrial type of wall and floor covering. I am sure this has a technical name, but I think on this occasion, it didn’t do the room any favours and made it dark like the main bedroom. However, everything was clean and functioned as it should. There is no lift, so it’s worth noting this if you have difficulty getting up and down the stairs.

The breakfast was adequate in all respects and could be taken inside or outside next to the pool.

In our opinion, one of the main selling points is the pool. The pool is a good size, with 10 or so sun-beds, enclosed by the lovely frangipani trees. A swim was a very pleasant way to finish off a day after the rigors of Ankor Wat.

All the staff were pleasant and helpful.
Would we stay here again? Yes, definately.

First things first, this hotel and Frangipani Villa II Hotel are effectively one and the same. They are right next door to each other and share the same pool, which actually is to the rear of the Frangipani Villa Hotel.

The hotel is in a good location, just a 15 to 20 min walk away from pub street and the market (or a 5 to 10 min moto rickshaw ride - about US$2 or for US$5 he'll wait for a couple of hrs and bring you back). The staff are friendly and helpful and our room at least (room 206 or 26 I think) was at the rear, quiet, large (it accommodated a king size double and a 3rd single bed with ease) and overlooked the pool with it's own balcony and well appointed. Only criticism is the height, or lack of it, of the shower head over the bath; a bit of squeeze for a 6'2" male but not a major fault. The air-con is efficient, quiet and works, trust me you'll need it as SR is hot, hot, hot.

The pool area is an absolute delight and the water is so warm. It was absolutely fantastic to dip into it after a full day's trekking around various temples.

The cocktails are lethal (and cheap compared to major city prices) and the wine and beer is also good value for money and well kept. We ate in the hotel two nights running. The first night because we arrived late, didn't know the area, were tired and it was the easiest option. There was only us and one other table (around 8pm) so we were a bit dubious but the food was first class. So much so that we ate there the 2nd night as well. It's good, give it a go. Breakfast was also good but eggs are not their strong point. Massively overcooked. The hardboiled were going black and the scrambled were like gravel. However, apart from that, the rest of it was good.

This hotel is very good value for money, clean, tidy, with helpful staff and a fantastic pool area. I'd definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a value for money, 3 star, boutique hotel, away from the big faceless chains.

Room Tip: Chose a room in the Frangipani Villa (not the Villa II) at the rear of the hotel overlooking the pool.

Good buffet, excellent service, nice pool only drawback is if you are an older traveller there is no lift so best to ask for a room on 1st floor

Room Tip: Low floor as no lift

We emailed the hotel and was able to get a good deal at 15% discount if we book both Frangipani hotels in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap. This was way cheaper vs rates in hotel booking sites and vs other hotels in the area.

We were fetched by a tuktuk driver upon arrival from the bus station. The place was a few minutes from the station and the main road. The Pub Street was a few minutes walk away which is perfect for dining and drinking.

The hotel was better than expected. Rooms were very comfortable and the superior room was spacious enough with a bathtub to boot. While there's no view from our room, the lobby wifi reached our room which was a good add-on. Bed and pillows were similar to higher priced hotel rooms. Breakfast was very good considering how small the hotel is. Their hash browns and sausages were a good way to start a busy day touring Siem Reap.

The staff were great and they were able to accommodate requests for early breakfast as our tour went out really early in the morning before breakfast was available. Some confusion in booking our massage at the hotel spa due to the limited therapists, but again they were able to accomodate and brought it more therapists from their other hotel in siem reap.

Overall, we were very happy with the hotel. It was great for its price and definitely recommending this for Siem Reap visitors.
