We did not stay at this hotel but came for dinner and the cultural dance show based on various reviews. Very lavish-looking hotel. Greeted warmly and shown through to a delightful garden setting for dinner and show. Very good service for drinks and dinner. Food is very good. Show was much as expected - very graceful girls, beautifully dressed, performing traditional dances. A touch of humour with a fish story allowing boys to show their skills as well as girls. There probably was a logistics problem as a bamboo xylophone performance went on and on. The evening is done very nicely - at a price. It was by far, the most expensive night we had in Cambodia. If you are interested in a traditional dance performance while in Siem Reap, would suggest one of the other venues as better value.

Loved the food, something entirely different. Service is outstanding along with a creative and beautifully presented menu. If you're in Siem Reap and are looking for a place to eat, you must visit here!

The Residence D 'Ankor is a fabulous teak villa. Their fine dining restaurant was the only one open. We choose their combination diner the Angor Wat tower ( as recommemded by the GM Carla) it was a tower of food with Khemer cuisine overtones and some good ingredients ( Mekobng lobster and blue crab ) .at the end I was still hungry and needed to order an extra main course of Australian lamb to fill the hole. It's not that the food is of high quality or well made , just a shortage of carbohydrates to fill you up ( hint here - the bread is well made and so fresh , so tuck in! )
The pumpkin cremr brûlée with coconut ice cream was delightful
So nothing wrong at all - other than it lacks something - wish I knew what it was !

We dined at Circle during our stay at La Residence d'Angkor. The hotel is lovely but I found the restaurant to be tired and disappointing. We unfortunately saved our last night in Siem Reap to have dinner there and watch the Apsara show which is held twice a week. The dancers were enjoyable however the restaurant had staged them facing away from 3/4s of the room. Instead they performed to one large table made up of several couples, all of whom talked during the entire performance and ignored the dancers. Those of us who actually wanted to see the performance were left frustrated and somewhat embarrassed for the performers.

As for the meal, we had a difficult time selecting an entree. There simply wasn't anything appealing. I chose the chicken and it was hands down the worst meal I can remember having in quite some time. I had the server take it away after only a few bites.

There are some great restaurants and fabulous cuisine in this city. I suggest you find somewhere other than Circle.
