I had not intended to write a review this morning. I was going to make sure Rosie's is still on the map so I could recommend the place to a friend.
It is clean, friendly and welcoming to everyone - even old geezers like me. In addition to having clean, regularly serviced air-con rooms, the friendly pub atmosphere exists downstairs at the restaurant. Don't go to Rosie's for a pool. They don't have one. They will advise you where to use a pool at an expensive hotel for a few bucks.
One of the best reasons I recommend Rosie's is that the employees (Smiley) know the area. They will arrange a tuk-tuk for you that will not leave you in the bush and demand more money for a return. Rosie's knows the tuk tuk operators and they are in effect vetted by the guest house. Smiley asked how much time we had in Siem Reap and suggested a course of action for visiting the various sites. It doesn't get any better than that. If you can - give yourselves a week to visit the various sites at Siem Reap. You can feel comfortable booking the full week at Rosie's because it's safe, clean and a home away from home. Great place. Great people. I wouldn't stay anywhere else.More
