Rosy Guest House is more than just great value for money. The service is excellent, the food is wonderful, the staff is the most friendly I've ever experienced, and the owners are present to make sure everything runs to the highest standards. I stayed here for a little over three weeks in February, and this is my first experience at a guest house. The social aspect is great fun! Rosy is close to everything good about Siem Reap, and I recommend it highly.

Room Tip: The shared terrace on the third floor is wonderful, so stay in one of the rooms around that if you c...

We stayed here for a week in Jan 2012. Got a great room on the first floor, next to a fabulous large shared balcony, complete with sofas, chairs, day beds and views over the river which runs nearby. Very friendly English owners and local staff who were helpful in helping us book bus tickets, tuk tuks to the temples, etc. Good food also, lovely western grub (I can recommend the cheese on toast for breakfast!), and some khmer dishes too. Good location, with the river out front and just a short walk or cheap tuk tuk into town and bar street. Would recommend, and in fact already have!! Oh, and they frost the beer glasses, which was very refreshing on a hot day!!

Room Tip: First floor has a great balcony!!

Arriving in Cambodja is sort of tricky... The border passing from Thailand is full of scammers trying to get money out of tourist... Poipet has nothing to see.. the best part about it is really leaving!
Arriving at Siem Reap at around 1 PM, on a sunny day and being warmly welcomed at Rosy made the rest of the journey worth it!
Great staff, helpful and experienced on everything you need to know about Siem Reap and (of course) the whole of Angkor... they always have tuktuk drivers for hire and for a reasonable price, for what I could understand...
The room we stayed was a double room, on the 2nd floor.. nice, clean, comfortable bed...
Great bar, good choice of food and drinks (a bit pricey for cambodjan standards...).

Overall, a great stay at Siem Reap! Would surely come back!

I stayed here for a week in August 2011. I got in touch with them via twitter and booked my room, which was more than comfortable! On arrival they arranged tuktuk pick up (perfect after the unpleasant border crossing) and settled us in. Dinner was a homemade pie and mash, a fantastic change for us expats who don't get much good old English food! The owners were fantastic, friendly and chatty giving us advice and tips on how to spend our time. The other staff couldn't have been more helpful either, drawing routes on maps and arranging my early morning trip to Angkor Wat, right down to a packed lunch!

The balcony area upstairs was amazing, the perfect place to chill out and enjoy a pint of Anchor before heading out for the night.

All in all, I couldn't rate Rosy Guesthouse any more highly! Thanks for a brilliant, memorable stay.

Room Tip: I stayed in a twin room with ensuite, and all mod cons! Bit of a luxury. But for the budgeting backp...

I stayed here for two nights recently. First of all the location is lovely, overlooking a tree-lined canal and a short walk into the busier parts of town. The staff are very welcoming, warm and efficient. I had a single room, the only slight whinge was that the mattress had a bit of a bow in it. However the room was spotless with a fridge and the killer DVD player with a library full of movies downstairs. Food in the restaurant is superb. Will stay here again.
