This resort lacks so many things. We checked in and was helped by a very nice person, she was almost too nice. We stayed in the outer building, in the very last room. The rooms have been "spruced up" since 2008 where we spent a night during our honeymoon. There are no discounts available like AAA...so, maybe charging so much for a 1960's room that has been painted a bunch of times over the years is no longer acceptable. The ice machine didn't work on the first floor of that building so we alerted them to that. I believe in 2008 when we stayed there we were provided with robes to wear to the pool (I may be wrong) but when I inquired, the girl said "I don't know, I just started here a few weeks ago"...like I cared when she started, just wanted to know what happened to the robes. The pools seemed to have floaty stuff in it, don't even want to know what that was. The SpringWater Cafe's food is seriously lacking, my suggestion...hire a chef. The meal I had literally was pathetic (beef stir fry...nasty). The really only saving grace is that I won $54 dollars in the bar on a keno machine. That made up for the money we wasted eating in the cafe. We probably will never stay here again. Sorry Fairmont....
