The hotel is an odd hodge podge of a "L" shaped 2 story section connected to a 4 story building by an expansive atrium. The atrium houses the pool, exercise room, bar and breakfast area. The exercise room is small, dark and the TV's are perpendicular to the cardio machines rendering them useless, not to mention that the picture is completely 'snowy'. The room was clean but very musty and muggy. The air-conditioning was clearly just a fan without a compressor to remove any humidity. The room was on the atrium side of the 4 story tower portion of the hotel so extremely dark as it did not get any natural light. Glad it was only one night and we will not be back!

Cleanliness: We walked around a spill on the first day outside the breakfast space on the tile —- and the 2nd and the 3rd. Never mopped up during our stay. Stains in the carpet repeatedly down the hallway throughout the 4th floor.

Details: no shampoo the 1st day. Used the body soap. no refresh of the amenities on the 2nd day. Finally got a shampoo the day we were leaving. Small TV. There is no light in the closet so if you store a suitcase in there you have to search stuff in the shadows. The towels at the pool are laughably small and thin. Practically useless -therefore elevators usually have puddles. The outlets near the bed were so loose our chargers wouldn’t stay connected through the night. There are no gardens or grounds outside to enjoy - the focus is on the big, cold, empty, boring inside space with a few couches and a pool area.

Maintenenace: Missing tiles and trim everywhere. Ice maker not working, heater either blasting frigid or sauna, one jet in the hot tub working - not even bubbling. The elevator surfaces are spotty and water marked and walls are scratched.

Pro: there were plenty of pillows and towels. Bathroom was clean.

Overall: Obviously this place hasn’t seen upkeep in a long time and their attention to detail is low. Traffic noise from the highway is a low hum. If you just need a safe space to crash it’s ok. If you wanted a little garden ambience like the name suggests, book elsewhere.

Terrible! Outside and lobby look ok but rooms look like a trashed fraternity house. It’s a mess! Will not stay here again!! Small rooms. Cleanliness was fair at best. Upkeep was just awful. Prices very high for Michigan home football game. Normal $60, ours $272!!!!
