We stopped in for lunch on our way to the hotel, wanting to eat light and not really caring where we ate. We were surprised to find my lunch was free since it was my birthday and the menu was filled with interesting choices. We only ordered soup and a couple appetizers, but we left stuffed. The beer cheese soup was awesome! We weren't too impressed with the lobster nachos, though they were good. We really liked the jalapeno/bacon/cheddar dip with soft pretzels... very filling, but cheesy delicious. It has really nice decor. We had excellent service from Jenna. Would definitely return.

We ate at the Creekside tonight and found the food was good. I agree with the individual who wrote a review on this site saying the staff (or at least our server) didn't have her heart into the job. Anyway, the food was good and we paid the server for the meal and her tip. Moments later she came back to the table and asked if there was something about her service that we did not like because she thought we short-changed her tip. She said that on a bill that was almost $50 she expected a $10 tip - ours was less than that. At first we thought she was joking. She wasn't. It should be noted that a 20% tip expectation is not published on the menu. This was a pleasant dining experience except for the confrontation with the server. Needless to say that with all the good restaurants in the area we will not rush back to the Creekside anytime in the near future.

It just doesn't seem like their hearts are into it: the staff seemed like they were recovering from the night before and going through the motions. The Specials menu looked like most other restaurants so we went for some traditional dishes. The garden salad was obviously sitting in the refrigerator for several hours before reaching my table. The fried shrimp (comfort food on a Saturday night) was overly breaded and crunchy (hard crunchy). The vegetables were cooked just right, standing out from the rest of the meal. Inside decor is a bit dated, but they may be reaching for an older , traditional crowd. Previously the bar has been lively but no one was there tonight. The place seemed to be just getting by in terms of providing a welcoming place to eat.

Menu limited to lack-luster items that are mostly overpriced. They use what seem to be medical students for waiters that really do not care about doing it right. I tried what was supposed to be
Gen Tso's Chicken and it was terrible. Had also a pulled pork dinner that was right out of a can.
Beer selection was mostly American drivel and no real imported high quality such as German.

Went there twice with Groupons so did save some money but will not bother with them any more.

We visited the Creekside several times during the last two years and have been underwhelmed.
Today I had the perch dinner and cajun clam chowder. The chowder should be avoided by anyone with high blood pressure ,it was like eating a bowl of salt. The perch was greasy and definitely not fresh fish.It tasted like pre packed fish thrown in a pot of grease.Although the service was exceptional the food simply did not measure up. I will not be returning anytime soon
