I am not in a position to judge this place against the other Indian restaurants in Dubai, but compared with some of the better places in Rajasthan it more than meets the grade. This place is situated in the Sheraton hotel on the creek, Deira side, and has a most attractive atmosphere. Mughal style carvings, beautiful lighting and, the night I was there, some very good musicians. It is popular as a result. The food was all delicious, and if you stick to the vegetarian dishes, the prices are most reasonable. There are a number of "signature dishes" marked on the menu and these were unfailingly exceptionally good. Portions are large and as a single diner I was quite unable to do justice, so be warned...I suspect there is a touch of imagination being applied to some of the more traditional dishes: khulfi made with dried figs and plums for example, but that only adds to the pleasures of dining here. Highly recommended.
