We stayed at the Arabian Park last month while we were visiting our son who teaches in Dubai. On previous visits we stayed with him in his apartment, but with it being a bit on the small side we decided to stay here. After queueing for over an hour and a half at passport control we eventually arrived at the hotel at around 1.15 in the morning, only to be told that there wasn't a room for us. However we were ushered into the bar and provided with large glasses of lager and a huge bowl of nuts. 45 minutes and another drink (on the house) later, we were told that there was still a problem with the room and that we were going to be taken to another hotel for the night and would be picked up again at 10 in the morning. The Manager was most apologetic, and we weren't all that concerned, so, armed with nothing more than a sponge bag each, we set off in the shuttle bus for the CityMax Hotel, where we were looked after very well. Our board basis was room only at Arabian Park, but we had a comfortable room and a complimentary breakfast at the CityMax.
On arrival back at Arabian Park, we were more than pleased with our room. We had booked a superior room, and it certainly was. We had a king sized bed, a separate dressing area where the wardrobes were, an adequately sized balcony (only superior rooms had balconies) an area with an easy chair and a huge bathroom. All rooms had a hospitality tray with tea, coffee and water, and a mini fridge. There was a basket of fruit left for us as well.
We had clean towels each day, clean bedding twice in the week and the room was always nice and tidy, no knocking on the door for the room to be cleaned too early in the morning as you often get in Europe!
We sat by the pool each morning for a couple of hours before going to the snack bar for breakfast, which we took upstairs and enjoyed on the balcony.
Our son then came for us about lunchtime. There is a large car park so he was also able to come up to our room with no worries about leaving his car. We spent the rest of each day and evening out and about in Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Fujeira.
The one downside of the Hotel is it's distance from everywhere. On the one hand it was lovely to be away from the hustle and bustle that is Dubai (and there is free shuttle bus anyway, should you need it) but on the other hand, it was a good half hour's drive each way for our son to come out for us,
We thoroughly enjoyed our week there, despite the hiccup at the beginning!
Happy Holidays!

stayed in the suites.
the suite is , well , fantastic
it is large, well laid out with a bigger than usual balcony
hotel has a nice feel to it
the breakfast could do with a makeover
but overall the hotel was clean comfortable and spacious
my children enjoyed the space of the suit rather than being cramped up in a hotel room
perfect if you are travelling with kids
the complimentary shuttle to teh airport is a big help .
but beware of the shuttle driver who will demand payment of 15 dirhams for each bag whence you arrive at the airport
whilst the location is slightly out of the way it is reasonably close to most of the shopping centres in deira

Room tip: rooms facing the pool are nicer

We stayd at this hotel for 4 nights, it's a good and clean hotel with nice service, but it's too isolated from the city centre. Maybe families wishing a quiet stay would like it, but we wanted to go around and wonder in the streets or see interesting places for which I found the location a little inconvenient. Taxis are cheap but ss we had only breakfast included we wanted to be closer to some cafes/restaurants or spots to eat outside in the evening and again needed to take a taxi for this. I'm sure we could find the hotel for same price in Al Barsha district, which is nearer to places I've mentioned.
I't nice thay provide free tea and coffee in the rooms and have a nice outside pool.Hotel has no it's own laundry service and need 1 day extra to get laundry done.
And the windows at hotel are permanently locked, which was strange and uncomfortable for me personally, besides they are very dirty from outside as they don't get cleaned.

Room tip: Rooms with a pool view, but dirty windows make this view uninteresting :)

We chose this hotel knowing that it was in an out of the way location. It was a very clean comfortable hotel. We chose this hotel for a 2 and 5 day stopover on or recent holiday in Asia.
The hotel is in an out of the way location, however there is a bus stop across the road which takes you to Oud Metha Metro station.
We found the hotel free shuttle unreliable, we got left at the beach pickup.
On the first stay breakfast was included and we found plenty to eat, although getting seated could be a problem at busy time.
The reception staff were ok to great, some seemed to enjoy direct contact with the public more than others. Also little information was volunteered, so free WiFi is available but only in the lounge on some floors.
Overall we had a great stay and would like to try the Park apartments next door for our next stay, but this is a great hotel and for the money hard to beat.
