Description: Al Hambra is traditional Spanish eatery with an unerring knack of making you feel at home. You'd be forgiven for thinking you're in a bustling Valencian taverna - but one glance at the view of the palm-fringed canals from the terrace will remind you of your romantic Gulf location. Take your pick from a parade of colourful plates, each filled with fresh, seasonal and sometimes surprising ingredients, all served in a casual family-style setting. Try the zingy gazpacho or chorizo frito, or work your way through a delicious pile of calamari rings, king prawns, or our popular chicken and rabbit paella. Locals and travellers alike come to Al Hambra to experience not just its extensive menu of authentic tapas and rustic regional Spanish cuisine, but for its lively atmosphere too. It's a perfect setting for al fresco dining or just to enjoy the city's best sangrias (served in generous clay pitchers). We are offering 20% (twenty percent) discount for Spanish nationals.

“Average food but lovely atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 March 2012

Lovely service: hand towels on arrival, friendly staff. The bread and dipping sauces were seriously yummy. Wasn't hugely impressed with the beef dish or potato bravitas. The prawns were nice, as were the croquettes and tortilla. I did really enjoy the chorizo and egg dish though. Very moreish fruit wine spritzer. A bit quiet as early in the evening but the live music and decor made for a good atmosphere. Would return if I visited Dubai again.

“Don't miss the Friday Brunch! Out of this world!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 March 2012

If you're there over a weekend, you just HAVE to go there for their famous Friday Brunch! It's a world unto itself. Starts after midday and goes on until 4 pm. It's a bit on the expensive side but is one of those luxuries that you should try at least once in a lifetime. Leave lots of room for food and drink, did I say LOTS of room??!! You will be starry-eyed with the vast range of food, the food layout goes on and on and on....not to mention the champagne bar, vodka bar, wine selection, mojito bar - classical and yummy passion fruit and loads of beer. It's very relaxing, chilled out atmosphere with live music playing in the background. The waiter attention is top class, superb service and you are never rushed to finish up. The desserts are a world apart from anything you've seen before. Welcoming for little ones, famies, coupes, friend gatherings, corporate, etc. An experience not to miss but do book in advance as they get booked up fast. Well worth the money.

“excellent tapas, warm atmosphere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 March 2012

I don't often hold out much hope for spanish restaurants outside of Spain, however Al Hambra serves very tasty and well-cooked classic tapas. calamares in light as a feather batter, delicious prawns and croquettes. Pretty restaurant with lovely terrace and live music. Very helpful and accomodating Spanish restaurant manager.

“COMO EN CASA (like back home)”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 March 2012

amazing place in general.
the food is the closest version of Spanish food I have tried so far in UAE.
the venue is just gorgeous, burj views, water canals...
very good price (there is a fixed price for a x number of tapas)
nice live music with well known Spanish songs...full of back home souvenirs...
the manager (Spanish as well) allways very useful helping when choosing the dishes...
definately will be back very often to avoid homesickness :)

“I recommend Al Hambra for the atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 February 2012

I came with my family, including on 7 years old kid. Service was very good, food also. I think you can have a better Spanish food but the restaurant is very comfortable and we enjoyed our dinner.

Funny remark for the management: avoid to serve a Kid menu in baby plastic plates to a seven years old girl :-). It had the advantage to be very funny.

The bill was 800 AED for 4 persons including wine and dessert.
