This is a manmade island in the form of Palm when we take a bird's eye view. Hotels like the Atlantis is located in it. We took a stroll just outside of the Atlantis in the evening and it is worth the time. There is monorail which returns from the Atlantis

No doubt about it that its the 8th wounder of the world. These are man made islands which can only be thought about. The typically crystalline waters of the Gulf at Dubai have become severely clouded with silt. May be it becomes a threat to the environment in future.

A Must Visit.

The palm is the greatest engineering project in the world. There is a really nice laid back atmosphere, people are friendly, the hotels are some of the best names in the world. Great place to have food or drink or just sit by the beach.

Palm Jumeirah is the world's largest artificial island. Designed in the form of a palm tree, it consists of the main road that runs down the "trunk" of the tree, and a series of fronds that radiate away to either side. The purpose of this design was to create more shoreline for luxury villas, each with their own little slice of private beach. At the far end is the ridiculous monstrosity, the Atlantis Resort.

Our tour group had a ride on the monorail, which dumped us off in front of the Atlantis. The short ride was worthless in that you could not see anything because people crowded in front of the windows taking photos. Once the ride is over, there is nothing to see or do other than to get back on the tour bus and proceed to another tourist attraction.

Don't waste your time or money coming here. It is not worthwhile!

We were told we would get a nice view of the palm subdivision from the monorail above but sadly we were misinformed. The monorail ends at the Atlantis hotel and mall so unless you want to go to these, I would not bother spending the money.
