We had the most experiencing and interesting tour in the desert lands between Isfahan and Yazd. Majid and his friend Mehran took us in their SUVs trough desert lands, sand dunes, salt lakes, medieval cities, Zaratustrian temples and villages, and did this with perfection, sensitivity and awareness of our expectations and wishes for the tour. Several things could be pointed out, but the stay in the desert, where Majid had arranged barbeque, Iranian cuisine, self-made thé, and sun-rise in the morning, is and experience that will never vanish from my memory. It is clear that Majid with his experience as a rock climber and planner of trekking adventures has the skills and knowledge to arrange a program that meets expectations and timeline. I will at any time, recommend Majid and his Persian Adventures to everyone going to Iran.

I and my mom had the pleasure to meet Majid Orafa in Esfahan - Iran - and to have him as our guide. He is a really professional and kind guide and person and he guided us to visit enchanting places. We crossed wonderful mountains to reach the virgin village of Sar Agha Seyeed and his driving, on a difficult road, was excellent. It is a virgin village, made by mud and straw, where people live like thousand years ago. It is so much interesting because of the connection you have with local people and children that you can't forget. it deserves to become UNESCO heritage. The day after we went with Majid to visit Khara desert. First, we visited Barsa, a little village with a very old and beautiful mosque, where you can go up the minaret to see the landscape around. After Barsa, we went to the ancient village of Ghorfan, with traditional houses made of straw and clay. Finally we went to Varzaneh village, where woman wear white chador and, after lunch, it was fantastic to know about local traditions around the village. In the afternoon, we could admire gold sand dunes inside the salt lake at sunset time. We want emphsize the maximum attention that Majid had to us and the passion with which he does his job of turistic guide. Thank's Majid because we enjoyed visiting with you. Khara desert in Isfahan province with about 17000 Hectares extent has different kinds of dunes which are made by wind: Longitudinal dunes, arc dunes and sandy pyramids. The Gavkhooni lagoon landscape of eastern hills is very beautiful, and the dunes make a suitable site for camping and off-road.
