I stayed here a number of years ago with my family. The hotel is quite grand. The service and the people were terrific. As an American I was most welcome and everyone treated me with kindness and respect. We had dinner on the roof and the food was quite good.I think there were a lot of secret police around but were there to make sure we had no problem.I will return when the situation permits.

Easily the best hotel we stayed in during a 10 day tour of Syria and Lebanon in 2010. The rooms were fabulous, the staff were totally fabulous, the food was different and delightful, the location is perfect. The citadel lit up at night from the back of the hotel makes a fab view. I want to go back there.

The best hotel we stayed in during a 3 week tour of Jordan and Syria. Not only did they have the best beds, the rooms were very comfortable, beautifully furnished and almost everything worked (the shower was a bit iffy but the bath was great). Lovely friendly staff, good food, well situated the only hotel we would return to out of the 10 hotels we stayed in

The Beit Salahieh Hotel is an architectural gem. There are courtyards, many staircases, arches, vaults - an incredible space just waiting to be discovered. Each room is completely unique, and ours was very charming. High ceilings with natural stone, and a comfortable large bed.
The location is excellent - just steps away from the Citadel and very close to the souk, one of the most interesting and lively areas of Aleppo.
The staff was courteous and hepful.
A hotel that we can highly recommend
