Myself and my partner have been travelling for three months and after living on a budget for a while decided to mark our anniversary somewhere special. 525 fit the bill! Luang Prabang is such a gorgeous town and our visit to 525 only made our time here more wonderful. We had a two amazing cocktails each. OMG, the amaretto sour was absolutely delish! We also shared a few tapas - my favourite was the aubergine caviar and empanadas. Sooo good! Even though it was slightly above our usual backpacker budget, every moment was worth it, right down to the cool 1950s music played in the garden. It made our night even more romantic! The staff are lovely too, our Lao bartender really knew his stuff! We have two more days in Luang Prabang planned and will pop back into 525 for a farewell drink. Thanks you guys!

The garden of 525 is a lovely place to spend an evening. After travelling for a while through Laos, it was nice to have a break from Lao food and indulge into Western style dishes and delicious cocktails. It was so good to see some of the British drinks on the menu too!

Although the menu might seem pricey, we understand it because we're getting Western food and drinks in a country in South East Asia - we appreciate the effort of the owner to bring back the British alcohol and ingredients to another part of the world.

Our favourites were Classic and Passionfruit Mojito, Amaretto Sour, Long Island Ice Tea and HandZaround drink (not on the menu :) ) as well as all of the amazing desserts!

The staff are super friendly and doing a great job!
In case you want to talk about something more than basic food or drink orders, ask about Emma, Andrew, Deuan or Khamdee - you will be able to speak in English with them.

Have a lovely, chilled evening at 525 :)

It's overhyped. I got some simplest pasta bites ever, no special taste nothing just pasta with mild sauce.. waited for like 27min.. and wanted to order more, but waiter brought me the bill! wtf...? I paid 12 € for like small beer and bites of pasta which was nothing.. terrible experience

Hi Glimmerati we are sorry you didn't enjoy your experience with us. We are not sure which dish you are referring to when you mention pasta bites. If you could give us more details that would be really useful so we can endeavour to improve.

My wife and I fell into this place on our first night of our week stay in Luang Prabong. The menu can be best described as very tasty, high quality bar food. We had two orders of pork sliders (3 in a serving) and a Greek salad (on the small side, but ingredients were fresh). For drinks we had a whisky sour (my wife said it was the best she's ever had) and I had the Belgian blonde beer in a bottle.

We went back two nights later when they were sponsoring a fund raiser for the local hospital. We ate two orders of the teriyaki chicken legs (smallish, but 5 pieces to an order), mac and cheese (3 ramekins to an order), and a plate of brownie bites (5 pieces) for desert. For drinks, whiskey sour again (of course), a "new" old fashion (made with honey and cinnamon), and several glasses of white wine, a crisp Spanish and an excellent Australian Sauvignon Blanc.

100% of the profits for the night went to the Luang Prabong Children's Hospital. The place was chock full of locals and tourist alike right to closing. A good time was had by all!

Hey both! What a fantastic review! And thank you so much for joining us on the big party. It was a great night and we were so pleased to raise all that money for charity. I'm just waiting to get your VIP cards sorted and will distribute them to the people you have asked us to before the end of the week. So kind of you to make donations like that. Hopefully we'll see you back in 525 in the future.

This bar is such a nice surprise. I feel like you are in another big and trendy city like NYC, London. Clean, cosy and beatiful decor. Great soundtrack. Best mojitos outside south America! The manager, Emma, is soooooo good and profesional, but making you feel like home, and introducing everybody in the bar... And... Last but nota least... The Lemmon tart from dessert is 'something'!!
