This is really a not to miss attractions and is on the road to the Kuang Si waterfalls ( about 300 meters away ) . Really nice park with the Butterfly cage which is huge so that you can see them flying around . There are dozens of different butterflies and the volunteers will explain you about the life cycle of the butterfly and the various species differences and behavior . Honestly I really loved it and if you children it is even better.

Low expectations for a trip to a butterfly park arranged by our tour.
Pleasantly surprised by the beauty and the dedication of these lovely young Dutch people whose passion has overcome local problems to create an amazing project.
The welcome, grounds, information, butterflies were all above expectations.
Fabulous

Missing the butterflypark when visiting the Kuang Si Falls would be a huge mistake. The most friendly welcome, the great location surrounded by the same river that maken the falls, the garden with orchids and cacti, the lovely cafetaria by the ponds and great sandwiches and coffee. Put your feet in the pond and feel the fish kissing your toes. But then comes the wonder of it all. Butterflies are already circling around the flowers and around yourself. More species are kept in a huge bamboonet covered garden. The expertise by students is outstanding in different languages. The proces ' how to become a butterfly' is well shown and if you're lucky some of them may be pick you to rest on for a while. Entry price is reasonable and combinationprices with lunch and coffee are possible. Most important you support a good cause in helping schoolchildren. Go Dutchies!

Only a very short walk from Kuang Si Waterfalls and very relaxing place to spend an hour or two after the strenuous activities at The Falls. Recommended

It was fun to take the one-hour drive to the Kuang Si waterfalls in late January 2018. The falls create beautiful terraced pools of turquoise waters and invite ( a LOT) of visitors to take a dip. As lovely as the falls are, what captivated us most were the bears in the rescue centre within the park. Gorgeous, fluffy, playful things just napping or having a good time! Do not miss the bears, even if you are in a hurry to go swim! The only unfortunate thing in the trip was to witness the incredible amount of garbage strewn in the countryside: there is obviously a problem there and while you are in LP it is obviously kept in check by the local businesses, but out in the countryside is a free for all of dumped plastics and every sort of garbage you can imagine. The locals must have become inured to it, or have very few alternatives...very sad to witness.
