We visited just after lunch when the sun was scorching and siesta time was upon the world. The special photography exhibit was locked up and there wasn't really much to see. One young monk dozing in a corner and rousing himself every so often to see what we were up to. I'm told the architecture of the sim is one-of-a-kind but unless you were an authority on Laotian sims I suspect this really won't thrill you.
I'm not saying don't go there, but I'd say you should plan it as one stop on a multi-attraction day. Am I being too polite? Hey, at least it's free.
