“eating here helps youth”
Reviewed 22 February 2017

this cafe is training marginalized youth so they can gain employment in the growing tourist industry. The meal we had there was very nice & the youth serving did a marvelous job.

“What a fantastic little place! You have to go!”
Reviewed 20 February 2017

My wife and I dropped off here after quite a long walk around the town of Luang Prabang. Set high above the river bank it is a cool, tranquil spot with super-relaxing views of the Mekong River, a superb place for a respite from the heat of the day, or for a drink at sunset. Everybody there has dropped in a for a meal, coffee or cold drinks and, unsurprisingly, they do tend to linger hence the sign on each of the tables! We found the food to be excellent and not overly expensive. Cold shakes were fresh and fruity, and the coffee needs care in choosing because Laos Coffee has its own flavour and character! If you come across this gem of a café you must pop in and enjoy the serenity of it and the views.

“Favorite Spot”

The food here is excellent and the views of the Nam Khan joining the Mekong near the bamboo bridge are stunning. A great place for sunset with a Dark Lao beer and some fresh spring rolls. Fabulous!!!!

“very nice surroundings bhutto food does not match.”
Reviewed 14 February 2017

great location under the nicely illuminated trees with nice touches such as darkness falls, led lights are provided to ease menu . dimer switches on table lamps. The ambiance is well established. Regrettably the food was bland. I had the penang gai chicken, which was fairly tasteless, imperceptible spices and coconut milk flavour, left me wondering what happened to the lovely tastes I had been experiencing here in Luang Prabang this week. My wife, advised her green curry dish was the weakest meal she had all week as well. the other couple we were dining with liked their fried noodles with chicken and vegetables. mango drink was very good, thick and freshly made.

oh well, nice night with great friends under the stars with a nice Vista. just not the meal to match the night.

“A visit not to be missed.”
Reviewed 14 February 2017

We were lucky as this was the breakfast venue for our stay at Mekong Riverview Hotel. Owned by Swede Urban, food was very good, but the views were outstanding as you consume your food or that relaxing beer in afternoon
