This is an excellent stop to complement your knowledge of the Vietnam war. Laos is the most bombed country per capita but very few people know about it. They were bombed for 15 years and are still clearing land today as 30% of all bombs remain undetonated and present a risk for current generations of children and animals. It is shocking the trail of destruction that has been left by the US bombing campaign. Please support the clearing for bombs by buying some of the items they make from the metal they find in the cleared bombs

Worth the half hour to hour you will spend here. The entry is donation based and after the self guided tour you’ll want to give what you can. It’s a shame and quite sobering experience. Terrible the country is still suffering from something that was decades ago.

Not something to be enjoyed, but really worth a visit if you want to understand more about Laos and the challenges still facing people today. Free to enter but donations appreciated.

Definitely worth a visit. I learnt a lot about the problems of unexploded bombs in the country. It's well past time that we humans grew up and stopped wars for good.

Every traveller to Laos should visit this interpretive centre that details the international efforts to rid the country of explosive devices scattered across the whole country as a result of the Vietnam War that are still maiming children. My country (and my taxes) contribute to this laudable effort, thank goodness. Your country might also be a contributor. At UXO, your own donation will help ensure that these efforts continue. Very sad truths about war.
