Great little hotel

Pros
- Fantastic location right at the beginning of the night market;
- easy/pleasant walk everywhere in town
- good brekkie
- nice bar area on the roof (didn't use it, but seemed good)
- clean room & very comfortable beds
- nice gestures like fresh fruit in the room every day

Con
- I was travelling with 2 friends and there was no bathroom door (and the shower door was glass). There was a proper door for the toilet. Although aesthetically appealing, not all that practical when travelling with friends.

We stayed four nights and enjoyed so many things about our stay.
The baked goods on sale outside the front door are incredible.
Fourth floor open air lounge is an excellent place to nap the afternoon or plan your next adventure.
We had a room on the second floor and our shutters opened onto the night food vendors. Prepare to stay hungry from the smells.
Housekeeping and front desk are first rate.
Breakfast menu is varied with vegetarian and vegan options that are well prepared and presented.
The fresh ground Lao coffee is rich and presented with flair.
But they start grinding coffee at Seven AM and it will force you out of bed!!
If you like hot water to shower start early!
Lunch menu is varied but emphasized style over substance. The special salad with coffee dressing was a disappointment if you are hungry and our British friends found the eggs Benedict sauce disappointing.
Get the sandwiches. They are stellar.

Ideal central location in main Sisavangvong St - no more than 20 minutes easy walk to all attractions in Luang Prabang, with traffic blocked the street transforms into a night market daily after 5pm, but start early at dawn & you can witness the monks receiving alms (an age old tradition) just outside, & later enjoy the colour, noise, & vibrancy of the morning produce markets in the side alleys close by. Street food is readily available each night on the alley beside the hotel & is very popular with locals & tourists alike. The Mekong River point where lunch & dinner cruises depart is an easy 15 minutes walk.
The 'Calm' room on the first floor has a balcony fronting the main street where you can see the parade of monks at dawn. Comfortable bed, good size room, stepped bath (with shower) without door (open concept), no cupboards but has limited hanging space. Each day fresh fruits are replenished. Staff are very helpful & friendly.
Next to the lobby is a popular cafe which sells fresh bread & where you will be served a nice breakfast.
The sunset viewing at Mt Phousi is about a 25-minute walk uphill (quite steep at parts) but as the viewing area is small it gets very crowded at dusk.
The spectacular Kuangsi waterfall is about a 45-minute drive west of Luang Prabang but is worth it. Most tours pick you up at 11am & get you home by 4pm.
The dinner cruise with local dance performance at Nava Mekong is worth a consideration as the food is pretty good also.

Had a nice relaxing meal here. Staff were very accommodating in changing a dish that was mis-ordered. Pizzas were a little on the small side, would have been nice to have some larger size options. Everything fresh and tasty.

This 3-star hotel is the ultimate spot in Luang Prabang. If you have a room with a balcony facing the night market, it is the best location to watch the world go by from your private verandah. The set breakfast at the hotel is sumptuous and complete to say the least. The room is spacious with stylish interior blending the new with old. The only setback relates to the bath area - it neither has a door nor shower curtain. It is an open concept. Be that as it may, my family and I thoroughly enjoyed the professionalism and hospitality of the hotel staff. Special mention goes to a staff by the name of Long Her. His service attitude was exceptional.

Room tip: Rooms with a balcony are the best! When all doors are shut, it blocks out the noise.
