For me the perfect place to stay, yes a bit more expensive than others but lovely quality rooms. We had a bungalow with balcony over the Lilly ponds ( which have been given a place in UNESCO world heritage) shower was amazing and bed super comfy. Hotel staff were fabulous nothing was to much trouble, and really wanted you to enjoy your stay. We were unlucky with the weather at a random 13 degrees in the day, felt very cold, so didn't get to much use of the balcony which was such a shame as I would of really enjoyed.Breakfast is basic but nice enough to get you started and some lovely homemade cakes. And the coffee is stunning, in Laos in general to be honest. It also had great wifi free in the room. Location is fantastic, short 10 min walk to night market ( which has such a fab atmosphere) lots of temples in easy walking distance. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Dear Charllie,
Thank you for your review of your recent stay with us at Maison Dalabua. We greatly appreciate your feedback and it’s always a pleasure to have happy guests staying with us and that appreciate the level of service and experience we strive to provide. We are happy to read that you enjoyed especially the “amazing shower” and “super comfy bed”. We were sorry for all our guests during the exceptional cold episode; we totally understood that it was not the best weather to enjoy the stay in Luang Prabang. We thank you again for your kind comprehension. It’s always difficult to manage things like weather that we cannot control. Happy to read your sense of positivism that even with cold weather you enjoyed our Breakfast and Lao coffee. We support a local cooperation who cultivates coffee at Plateau des Bolovenes. Thank you for recommending our hotel, it will be a big pleasure to welcome you a second time at Maison Dalabua,
All the best “Sokdee”

We chose this hotel after reading good reviews here and other places online. And we were not disappointed. We were picked up at the airport by a car sent by the hotel. This cost $10. The check in went smoothly, the staff making you feel very welcome. The French manager stopped by and also welcomed us, making us feel at home straight away. The atmosphere was relaxing, inviting and friendly.
The rooms were large enough, and the bathroom was bulit in a different and surprising way. All done in good taste.
The dining area was set near the lotus pond, a pleasant way to enjoy the breakfast in the morning. The breakfast had a good enough choice , With both European and Asian dishes.Loved just sitting there soaking up the quiet atmosphere.
The hotel had bikes you could borrow, but if you preferred to walk, it was a 10 minutes walk to "Down town".
I highly recommend this hotel and wouldn't hesitate at all staying there again.

Stayed here in a deluxe poolside room January 2016. The hotel itself is a boutique style, small with personal attentive service, a beautiful pond and smallish swimming pool which we did not use. It is not heated and in January a bit on the cool side.
The hotel included breakfast which was in the pondside restaurant. The breakfast selection was small but tasty and fresh made, with home made yogurt, fresh fruit, fresh breads, asian and european selections. Tasty but not overdone.
The room was large with an unusually comfortable king bed, not as hard as the usual asian bed. There is a wall mounted TV with a limited selection of stations including BBC and CNN with decent quality. The bathroom is delightful, with honed concrete and ceramic finishes, a separate large tub and walk in shower, comfortable toilet stall and plenty of hot water, a luxury in most of the area.
The rooms were refreshed twice per day and kept very clean, as were the common areas. Walking to the markets, museum, restaurants etc. were all 5 to 15 minutes.
I booked through a company so do not know the actual cost but I would stay here again, romantic and quiet.
WIFI was good when it worked but sometimes down.

Room tip: Pool or ponside

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The rooms are clean and spacious. The beds are more comfortable than we have experienced so far. The Lotus ponds are really beautiful. The hotel was quiet and relaxing. The staff are all lovely. The breakfast buffet is reasonable (but could definitely be better). The hotel is located about 5 minutes from the night market. Nothing negative to say at all. It was a really pleasant experience in a gorgeous town.

Lovely hotel , not far away from downtown . Can walk take 10-15 mins or can ride bicycle . It's good that hotel provide free bicycle for clients. Small swimming pool but it's ok . Too too crowd. The manager and staffs there very nice , always ask what the clients wants. And for solo travel is good , very safe .
