Took me 5 mins to book this hotel based on the service reviews and was surprised that it was even better than I ever thought of.

The staff are the best. They spoilt us with their service, so much that on our way back to bangkok we hated our hotel stay there.

the rooms were clean. breakfast was by the river and was good.

they would drop us everytime we wanted to go to some place and were always similing.

couldnt ask for more.

Room Tip: river view

It is quite difficult to write something different about Mekong Riverview other than "absolutely great" - and many guys have done it already. I will try to focus on the experience then.
The owner walked us through our room, organized a welcome drink in the evening with other guests, we even had some high tea with (yummy:) cake. Other 5* hotels do it, but it was so convivial and exclusive we felt immediately like being back in some kind of familial holiday home.
Our room was absolutely fantastic and quiet, bed was excellent, we had a large sophisticated bathtub, and colonial-style furniture gave the final touch to everything. Breakfast on the terrace just above the Mekong River is an unforgettable experience, you could stay hours there sipping their delicious home made tea.

This hotel has all luxury boutique hotel features and is all about "art de vivre "and attention to client, making you feel unique and at home rather than 1 client amongst others (as you may experience in other luxury resorts) It is definitively one of the loveliest and most romantic places I have ever been.

We loved the Mekong Riverview Hotel. We spent four nights there with our two children (ages 14 and 11). The rooms are clean and lovely and include free water and soft drinks. The staff, especially the people working in reception, are friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are delicious and provided on a breezy deck with a great view of the river. And the location (made even better given the availability of the free bicycles) is excellent -- close to the action but quiet at night. Highly recommended.

Seeing all the five-star, perfect reviews, there is little to add that is unique to what has already been said. We stayed in a superior suite which lived up to all the hype.
What we want to review is this....The thing that stood out the most to us from our four night stay was the staff. We LOVED the hotel staff. Each and every one of them were friendly, smiling, helpful and ever-ready to answer all your questions, no matter how inane. By the second day there, my husband and I were already joking with them saying, "Oh, can you book us another tour today?"...which they knew we were teasing and laughed with us. They took us one afternoon to small silver shops and helped us negotiate and they also took us to the post office to buy stamps (which we'd tried on our own, but failed). They were always asking what they could do for us in booking reservations, answering questions, offering transport....They were eager to please and each one of them spoke excellent English. Additionally, the boat driver that the hotel recommended was also friendly and offered a very nice late afternoon cruise on the Mekong. Once we left the hotel, and being half-way through a three-week tour, we never got the same service with the staff as we did here.
We enjoyed attending two wine receptions with Urban and found him to be every bit as charming as his staff.
Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! :)

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in anywhere in the World. It is exceptional value for money and the service is excellent. The staff will ensure that any visitor to Luang Prabang gets the most out of this magnificent town.

We travelled with two young children aged 2 and 4 and found both the hotel and the town to be an easy and relaxing place to spend time.
