My friends and I went to L'Elephant for lunch and loved the food. We had a variety from local fare to Italian to German and everything was absolutely delicious.

Dear Suchitrar,

Thank you for taking time to review our restaurant and we are very happy to hear you enjoy the ambience.

Equally, we are disappointed to hear that you felt the food was expensive but we pride ourselves on sourcing quality ingredients which in Laos can mean paying a little extra.
For example the hot chocolate you had the brand we using is "Barry Callebaut" a chocolate imported from Belgium.

We aim to provide high quality food, from the best ingredients available, hoping our costumers can have an unforgettable culinary experience from Luang Prabang, Laos.

Kindest Regards,

P.D

Easy to arrive there! I eat a typical Laos menu which was delicious. It was a 6 plates menu, different, with a delicious Laos taste! Price, Kits Kips 180.000 = US 19,50! Worth a lot your money!

L'Elephant is a cozy dining place at a corner by Nam Khan River.
With the friendly waitresses who serve well.
After going through the menu we decided to have a la carte instead of set meal. We had Fried Tofu Spring Rolls for starter & Papaya Salad as appetizer. For main, we ordered Fried Prawn with lemongrass sauce + Laotian Pork Sausage both come sticky brown rice.
We washed down our dinner with Lao Beers & skipped the dessert.
Will definitely patron this restaurant again :)

The restaurant with good reputation nowadays not worth it. We have been there 10 years ago and that was a perfect palce. Now they concentrate on making money on rich Chineese businessmen. They had really very high prizes the best in town but the food quality and taste is medium. The staff is fine very polite, but you dont have a feeling they care about you. Next days we tried other restaurant s around always with better experience. So dont loose your time here.
