The hotel is located in a quiet area right on the beachfront but within walking distance from the main busy shopping and restaurants area in Mamaia. Free guarded parking is provided; the pool on the beach was great and plenty of sunbed available.
The staff is extremely nice and helpful; though we arrived early in the morning, we were checked-in shortly and did not have to wait until the actual check-in time; we were allocated a lovely sea view room; also, upon checkout, we were allowed to stay at the pool a couple more hours.
Breakfast was excellent--it was an extensive buffet-style breakfast with a great variety of cheeses and cold cuts as well as hot items.
I will definitely return to this hotel in the summertime.

i believe that the single most important thing is room cleaning...we left at 11:30am for the beach and I personally put the 'please make up the room sign' and the cleaning lady was at two rooms over, I just came back now at 3pm and the sign was reversed with 'please do not disturb' so they probably just didn't have the mood to clean the room...just lousy.
the room we stayed in had updated furniture but nowhere near the 4star standard and the wallpaper on the walls was peeling off
the breafast was varied but the amount of people there made it difficult to grab something and the seating is inadequate for that many people both inside and outside.
the pool looks ok but have not tried it.
the spa center is closed even though we were not informed of this in advance

Pleasant beach front hotel with free guarded car parking at the front of the hotel. Bar and restaurant on the lobby level and direct access to the beach and sea front from the hotel. WiFi in the rooms is ok and food is quite good.

Room Tip: sea front room with balcony

We stayed for 4 nights in a corner suite on the second floor. The two rooms were good size and had comfortable beds, TV and storage space. However, our room was facing Blvd Mamaia so we had to put up with lots of noise from traffic as we preferred sea breeze to aircon.
The bathroom is dangerous, as there's a slope connecting the shower to the bathroom floor. This slope gets wet when you take a shower, so you better hold to the walls getting out, or find some way to keep your balance and not slide. I don't believe any North American insurance company would insure this kind of setting.
Breakfast is a zoo, with no room to sit at the tables - a swarm of people compete on food and line up in front of the 3 coffee machines. We showed up at 9:40 AM the other days for less food, but a more relaxed experience.
Checkout was terrible - employees are unempowered and won't take your word that you ONLY had a mineral water and a Snickers bar. It took a few minutes for the confirmation to come. "You can't even trust a guest declaration when you have his credit card?" "I can't take responsibility if something is missing from the room!" replied the young reception employee (Raluca). "Hasn't Romania evolved from communist times? You can't release a guest who prepaid until someone physically checks the room to ensure he did not consume more than he declared? In a 4 star hotel?" I couldn't believe it.
The beach is polluted with cigarette butts, straws, corn and all sorts of detritus. Oh, and there's this blue boat that parks right in front of the hotel that doesn't mark its anchor with a buoy, so I stepped on it coming out of the sea and now I still have this big open wound in my sole. It totally wrecked my vacation. I've been visiting clinics once a day to clean the wound and change bandages - a wonderful vacation in Mamaia.

We stayed for three nights after deliberating over all the hotels in the area. This hotel is out of the busy area but only a 5 minute walk into town for food/drinks. It has its own pool, which is a good size, on the beach. There are plenty of beds and it does get busy but there are a lot of beds and people were leaving around lunch. Extra towels were supplied too. They played music as well which could be loud but if you sit far enough away it's okay. The staff were friendly, the rooms are nice - we had no problem with our air con it cooled the room very well. Overall very impressed.
