I stayed for just one night at AquaView Hotel, as I was touring Varna and the region with my private guide, but I feel that I would have enjoyed a longer stay as well. The receptionists and staff at AquaView, including in the hotel's restaurant, were very friendly and welcoming. My room was spacious and came with a lovely bathroom that had a nice soaking tub in it. The room also had a balcony, with a beautiful view of the sea, located down the hill from the hotel.
The hotel served a basic complimentary breakfast and I also decided to have dinner once in the restaurant. The dinner menu was limited, but it had a couple of nice Bulgarian specialties (ex: Tarator, a yoghurt and cucumber soup), as well as a few pasta dishes.
The only potential challenge with this hotel is that it can be difficult to find. I took a taxi from the bus terminal in downtown Varna and the taxi driver had quite a lot of trouble finding the hotel. There does not seem to be a specific street name/address, so this can be a challenge.
Other than that, this hotel is a much quieter and more relaxing establishment than many of the chaotic big resorts in the area. So if you're looking for a more relaxed break, away from crowds of tourists, I would recommend it.More
