The only thing this place has going for it is its location in the center of the city. Absolutely nothing else! We had the great misfortune of getting a room on the 4th floor, and the nearest router is on the third floor. But it doesn't work. Not so funny, as I had to get a SIM card just to have internet for two days.

The receptionist is utterly hopeless. Has no interest in getting things sorted and just shrugs her shoulders "what can I do?". The corridor smells of urine and nobody seems to notice. No soap, no coffee in the rooms. She offered us a different room which we took, but no Wifi there either. Everything bothersome and annoying.

The styling is best described as Soviet-chic, I guess. Sort of quaint, if it weren't for the smell.

I'd suggest you get a room in a decent new hotel where the staff know the meaning of the word "service".

Oh yes, the bathroom. The shower is over a bathtub which is so narrow that it has no flat bottom to stand in. LOL.

Avoid at all costs.

Room Tip: Get 1st or 2nd floor to get a decent shot at having Wifi

THERE WERE NO BATHROBES!! Seriously though, this place is a dive. The only thing it has going for it is location. The room smelt dank and wet and was freezing cold as the air con was dodgy and barely worked and the radiator didn't work at all. When we asked the staff for help, he was rude and dismissive, absolutely could not care less.

The wifi is essentially non existent, drops out all the time and went it works is incredibly slow. There was no laundry service as their site says and there are no toiletries etc. in the room.

I honestly wouldn't recommend this place if you paid me to.

We stayed here for 3 days for work.

Clean and comfortable rooms.
Perfect location.

Rooms near elevator extremely noise.

Hallways are dark and creepy.

Internet does not work on guest floors. It asked for password but the Internet will not work after connected. Terrible for business.

Staff is not accommodating at all. They don't care if you are comfortable or not. One of our company members was near elevator and it was so noisy all night that he could not sleep. He tried to change rooms and the staff wouldn't help even though there were other rooms available. Not good service at all. He was so put off, he checked out and went to another hotel.

Also, when the internet problems were reported to front desk, there was absolutely no assistance at all. They simply don't care about guest experience.

In conclusion:
If you are looking for a place only to sleep and shower and not have Internet, this hotel will be fine. If you need a business hotel, go elsewhere.

The hotel is right in the center of Plovdiv which is a great plus. Everything is in close proximity. You can easily reach the hotel in a 15 minute walk from both train and bus station.
The staff was very polite and helpful.
The corridors and rooms kind of reminded us of American Horror story a little bit, which in turn was both amusing and scary. I would assume this was due to the dark colors used for the walls.
Other than that the room we stayed in was nothing special, had two beds, a refrigerator, wardrobe and a bathroom. I would recommend you bring your own accessories, such as shampoo and hair drier.
All to all, it is a good hotel for a one day stay due to the location.

For just about 20 € I stayed amidst the center of the pedestrian area of Plovdiv, 2 minutes away from the garden of Tsar Simeon, 6 minutes from the singing fountains, 8 minutes from the old town, and 15 minutes from the train station - all within walking distance. - No problem to get food of any type or find supermarkets close to the hotel.

Sure, the hotel might seem slightly outdated: the building has the charme of the late communist era, with its old-fashioned elevators, long and dark corridors and - ehm - "fancy" interior not even available in New York's hippest hipster stores. But I can't help liking it. Isn't it that the furniture seems to tell stories? Who might have stayed in this room, when the world was splitted up into East and West?

Beds were good, the shower provided nice hot water, the room was mainly clean. The room was equipped with aircondition. WiFi worked well, although with some interruptions at certain times. The receptionists were friendly and spoke English very well.

Just a little caveat: I can confirm another reviewer's perception: yes, it smelt as if someone was smoking several times.

All in all, I can recommend staying here and would come to this hotel again.
