“Stunning Villa that has everything difficult to fault.”

This is possibly one of the best Villas I have ever stayed in. Similar to the Villas in Sicily, the owner has ensured this Villas has retained its original rustic charm. The decor is absolutely in keeping with the traditional coastal Villas around southern Europe and across the Mediterranean Sea.

The Villa has everything! The swimming pool is a wonderful addition and perfect for the hot summer days. The Villa has outside eating and cooking facilities. Perfect for a big family. My family of 3 joined a family of 4, and wasn't disappointed. The Villa is big enough with enough bathrooms a sizeable kitchen and an adjoining living room.
A second floor veranda also adds a really layer of elegance and enjoyment to the Villa. There is plenty of room here, ideal for a big family.

The Villa also has all of the amenities required, wifi, dishwasher, flat screen tv's, coffee maker and even a PS3 in the unlike event of rain. Not to mention the excellent cooking facilities and utensils and of course air con.

The Villa is situated a short drive from Dubrovnik and is nestled in the scenic Croatian hills close to the Bosnian border. The views of the Bosnian hills and the bay of Serrebrano are absolutely stunning.

The owner is every attentive and extremely gracious and we enjoyed his hospitality. Iva is a trained Chef and cooked a glorious meal for us one night, with me as acting sous chef.

The Villa is the perfect location for driving down to Montenegro to see the stunning bay of Kotor. Also Basnia is also close by and a short trip to Trebinje is also a must see. They are also plenty of walks all around, with a Lidl supermarket also nearby.

I highly recommend this Villa and it is likely we will return.

“Stunning in the Photos, Even better in real life, Absolutely loved our stay!”
Reviewed 4 May 2018 for a stay in April 2018

As one of our party has mobility issues easy access is a concern, we were a little apprehensive about visiting the Dubrovnik Area, renowned for its love of Steps!
We were looking for a family-friendly, yet private villa that had a character, something that we could all enjoy. We quickly found Rustic Stone Villa Begovi Dvori and thought it looked perfect in the pictures.
Well I can honestly say we were not disappointed. On our arrival we were met by the owners who could not have been more helpful. They helped us navigate the steep road to the villa and helped us park the car, helped us with our bags and were so friendly and welcoming, even organising us a table at a local restaurant on Easter Sunday for that evening!. We honestly felt like were staying with friends.

The Owner ( a local Chef) treated us to an amazing meal one evening and cooked on the BBQ in the Villa, amazing local caught tuna, homemade cheese and homegrown vegetables, home cured meets, all that was simply superb. With his own homemade red wine and olive oil. It was a truly beautiful authentic Croatian experience, and something we will remember for many years.

The villa itself is beautiful and access was great around and within the property. the toilet/shower on the ground floor a great positive for us. The larger familty table is outside and under the balcony, which made meals a lovely experience, as it is a very private location. with wonderful views down to the sea.

We stayed during early April so it was warm but not hot ( low 20's) but we still managed to enjoy the pool on more than one occasion and the villa is very much a sun trap!

All the rooms were double beds and very comfortable, two of which have small bathrooms, The additional landing space worked great for the kids who enjoyed evening time playing games.

The balcony was also great to sit out and relax on. and a lovely place to have breakfast and plan our days.

There are some nice short walks from the villa if you just want to stay local and some fantastic bakeries which we almost visited daily!.
It's a very nice gentle 15 min drive to the Kuparia area if you're looking for shops or restaurants. Lidl is also only about 15 min drive away and very useful for groceries, Dubrovnik Old town was about 25 mins drive, and its a very scenic coastal road. Cavtat is again only 20 mins drive as is the airport. SO the location is almost perfect for accessing everything in the area.

I cannot recommend 'Rustic Stone Villa Begovi Dvori' enough and I can honestly say if the photos have caught your eye, book it, you won't be disappointed.

“Perfect Place to Relax”
Reviewed 16 October 2017 for a stay in September 2017

This really is a stunning villa, with views from the garden/pool and balcony you could never tire of. The house itself is a home from home, everything you need is there and more, such comfortable accommodation and all finished to a lovely standard and very clean. The pool is clean and although chilly at first (we were there in Sept) is fine once you're in!
The location for us was perfect. The last house down a steep narrow street the views are uninterrupted, not overlooked at all and extremely peaceful, yet not too remote. You really need a car to get around and manoeuvring in and out of the parking space and to/from the main road is a little tricky but part of the charm and not a problem at all. We had an Astra and would recommend the same or smaller to make things easier. All that said you're only a short drive from plenty of nice beaches, resorts, restaurants, shops and Dubrovnik ~15 mins away. We ventured farther to Ston, a beautiful town an hour or so north of Dubrovnik, a picturesque drive, incredible walls to climb/walk, real history and the most amazing seafood (best oysters and squid ever!!). We also drove south to Montenegro one cloudy day, interesting place but a long drive and over 2 hours queueing at the border (beware). You don't need to venture far at all though, there are lots of nice places all along the coast and Dubrovnik itself is delightful, if a little expensive and very busy during the days. We would highly recommend walking the walls in the evening before the sun sets and then wander round, have a drink and watch the world go by before picking one of many great restaurants for dinner. Also keep your tickets for the walls as it gets you into the Fortress just outside them for free too, well worth the climb.
Best of all about this slice of paradise is the owners though. Ivo (Joe), Suncica (Sunshine) and Diana (sorry Diana, no aka for you) met us at the main road and even offered to drive our car down to the parking area for us to unload, although we made it down unaided (sorry again Diana for making you walk in front all the way down, we didn't realise how far/steep it was and should have given you a lift). All 3 welcomed us into the villa, which had been meticulously prepared and treated us with gifts such as their own fresh fruit and veg, their olive oil, vinegar and wine, even some grappa wine drink (like sherry but better), which we all used to toast our arrival, so nice. The warm welcome continued throughout the fortnight, with Diana organising a meal to remember at Panorama restaurant one evening overlooking Dubrovnik, we had the best table in the house!! Ivo appeared every couple of days with more fruits (including figs to die for!!), wine, etc. He is a true gentleman and made our holiday extra special, taking us out on his boat to snorkel and visit the islands for wonderful freshly cooked fish. He also offered to come over and cook a meal for us one night despite working all day (so sorry Ivo for not feeling so good that night, missing the meal which I'm sure would've been wonderful and thank you for understanding and even going out to fetch rice to help me recover and checking on us the next morning). We cannot speak highly enough of our hosts who made us feel so welcome but also left us alone most days to relax and simply enjoy this true haven of tranquility.
Our first visit to Croatia did not disappoint at all and we were so lucky to find is gem of a villa, highly recommended indeed.

“A lovely villa with warm and welcoming hosts and beautiful views to the sea.”
Reviewed 11 October 2017 for a stay in July 2017

The Rustic Stone Villa was comfortable, lovely and had gorgeous views down to the ocean. Ivo and Suncica were wonderful hosts, providing everything we could need and more, including home made wine, delicious grappa, and olive oil. Ivo made a wonderful meal one very special evening. The ripe pears in the yard and the local figs were also delicious, fueling our daily walk up the driveway. We loved our stay here.

“Peace and quiet in idyllic house”
Reviewed 18 August 2017 for a stay in July 2017

We can only recommend a stay in this wonderful house. We were greated by our hosts who were extremely helpful; they parked our car, carried our luggage and welcomed us with local specialties and gifts! The house is very, very charming and has lots of space. The garden is well kept and the pool just as it should be. And then there is the most breath taking view over the bay and mountains. We were welcome to eat fruit and vegetables from the garden! You can only hear birds singing and goats bleating - apart from that it is quiet. Be prepared to walk up a rather steep road when you leave the house, though, and to use your car to get to a city (only 5 minutes drive though). We are sure that you will enjoy a stay here as much as we did.
