We were a family of three and stayed for three nights at Hotel Lapad.

On a positive side:
-Rooms are nice, clean and quiet.
-The hotel is nicely located on the waterfront yet the rooms are quiet. Nice view of the city and the bay from the room.
-Few decent restaurants nearby.
-The breakfast is really very good.
- you can always take a nice stroll around the bay. There is also a promenade nearby.

On the flip side
-The room was bit smaller for three. It was just a double room with a day bed somehow fitted in.
-It’s 20 minutes from the old town so it does take 20mins on bus route 6 to get to the old town.

So if you are planning to not do too many trips on your own or have sorted out your pick up for the trips then Hotel Lapad is a great choice.

Good location on the waterfront close to some good restaurants. Hotel food is just as good. Set buffet is ok but à la carte is very good. Staff are very helpful, hotel has a link corridor on first floor to the main accommodation rooms. No 6 bus does circular loop to the old town, stops outside but best caught up the road where you can buy a ticket if office open .

This hotel appears to cater to large groups. If you are looking for ambiance this is not the hotel for you. The breakfast buffet is extensive and was one of the best we encountered. The dining staff go out of their way to assist and accommodate. The front desk staff not so much. This hotel has seen better days and needs a good cleaning and minor repairs completed (bathroom door lock kept falling off). During dinner we saw a rat outside on the patio. Understandable being so close to the water but when we mentioned it no one seemed concerned. While the dining staff were delightful and the breakfast good we would not consider this place again.

Dear Ms Barbara,

thank you for taking time to publish impressions following your stay with us. We appreciate both positive comments which are reward for our service and constructive comments which help us identify areas for improvement, all with the aim to provide memorable service and holiday to clients.
All your comments were discussed in details with responsible departments and we are sorry you experienced few unpleasant situations.
Regarding the rat problem; hotel has never had any sort of issue or situation with mentioned animals or any other sort for that matter, we have regular disinfection, cleaning and maintenance of hotel building and surrounding areas. Problem occurred due to several months of constant rain and bad weather which caused mentioned animal to come out from the areas of main harbor. We can imagine this must have been unpleasant to witness and we deeply apologize for this.
Since we prefer all issues to be handled directly, as in those cases actions can be taken immediately, we regret that you did not inform us about the certain damage that was done to the wall after your failed attempts to open the balcony door.
The departments you thought did not meet your expectations when it comes to way of contact and communication were informed and will make sure mistakes like that do not happen again.
In conclusion, we are all sorry that your holiday was not what you expected, more so because entire staff works hard and dedicate to welcome everyone on highest level of hospitality and to ensure positive reputation that we have worldwide is maintained.

Kind regards

Great rooms, good service, helpful staff, nice pool area. We took a walk to the beach and enjoyed our day listening to music, sipping drinks and taking dips in the sea. worth the walk & charge for sun beds.

Nice Hotel with nice ambiente. You can walk to the city without problem. You take around 20 minutes to the city if you walk slowly. Hotel is in a silent area and you can see over the sea on the other side.
Rooms are clean, nice and comfortable.
