“Very disappointing”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 May 2012 via mobile

We took a mixed fish plate and it was awful. Most fishes were overcooked, some were burned and the others were undercooked. It was dry and tasted like coal. Plus, everything was drowning in olive oil. We could not eat some of the fishes because of the awful taste !

Service was good and wine too.

Prices are too high (400Kn for mixed fish plate).

“Great atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 April 2012

Small and initmate restaurant. The beef stew and gnocchi are delicious!
Little bit of a walk from the walls but within easy reach by foot.

“Fresh, homemade and traditional Dalmatian”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 April 2012

The food is great, authentic dalmatian meals: Pašticada with gnocchi, lamb, green pasta with shells..., but the atmosphere is sometimes a little bit tense (father and son working together). If you are in Split you need to taste something from their menu, everything is fresh and homemade. They are closed from 16:00- 18:00.

Prices at this place was bigger that quality of food you got. There is a lot of better restaurant in Split with same kind of meals for better prices and atmosphere.

“A family run Restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 March 2012

This restaurant is set just off the Riva at the fountain end, go straight up from the corner of the Hotel Bellevue and you will find it at the top of the street. The menu is not overly large, but the food is fresh and homemade as this restaurant is run by a husband, wife and son. The husband and wife do the cooking and the son does the serving, the food is traditional Croatian cooking and the menu has photos of the food on offer. There is also a daily selection of fresh fish from the nearby fish market, my favourite dish here is the goulash and my wife’s is normally one of the fresh fish. You get homemade hot bread served with the meal and we normally have the house wine, but there is a good selection of wines and spirits on offer. The down side of this restaurant is the lack of space, the tables are small and close together so when it is full there is not a lot of elbow room. But I think the food is worth it, price wise it is the centre of Split so you are paying for location as well as quality food.
