The University Club used to be the "Faculty Club" open to faculty and staff and run autonomously. Several years ago the university administration decided to "annex" it to the various dining services. They also "redecorated" the club in "Hilton Hotel" modern. Finally, the menu seems to have been downsized. It's not clear when or if a full menu will return.
Lunch is still pleasant but nearby parking is very difficult during term. Walking across the UMass campus is a challenge in itself. We haven't tried dinner recently, but parking is easier after 5 pm.
The houses are historic: 1728 and 1735.
