“Exactly as described”

First my real note would be 4,5 but I choose to round it up to thank the owner and its family for the extreme level of responsiveness.

On tre pros:

location, very close to a lot of things, including a shopping mall where you can get groceries or quick meals, which give you options shall you get tired of eating at the hotel and do no want really to get out;

access to hotel services: you have free access to the pool, the gym, you can pay for a spa treatment, you have full cleaning services, you can get food deliver to the room, etc. Tips: the pool access is controlled, especially over the week-end at it is crowded, and trying to explain you rent from an individual is loosing your time. So just show your card, when asked for room number give it but simply say that you will pay cash for any bar purchase. After a day or 2, the staff will recognise you and stop asking. Same with the breakfast buffet that is mainly attended by hotel clients having it included in their stay (you do not) so just say you are a visitor paying its own tab. For some reason, that works better then trying to explain you stay in a private room in the hotel...

responsiveness: the owwer takes care of the rental with daughter and son and all are very responsive, especially if you text them or email using the tripadvasor software. And so is room service from the hotel.

Balcony: double with view on the skyline and the ocean;

Quietness: even if you face the elevators, there is no real noise. Cleaning staff starts a bit early in the morning so be sure to use your do not distirb sign shall you want to sleep in the mornings. A few dollars of tip will make a long way to arrange them to be there when you need.

Cons: really only one, the unit could use refreshing. The paint is really due in some place, some of the furnitures are a bit dented, nothing that is not clean but would enhance the rental experience.

Final tip, best advice received from the owner and other friends in Panama, get your UBER app set and use it. Taxis not having meters charge by the head of the client up to 3-4 times the Uber.

“OK, Not Terrific”

The unit was adequately appointed and nice but kind of plain and blah in decor. Walls in a few areas are kind of beat up probably from luggage abuse. It is located on the 28th floor of the Hard Rock Hotel, which seems high but when you learn that the Hotel has 62 stories and you are in the low rise area with elevator service that is not very good, you are a bit disappointed. The view is ok but there have been built newer and higher buildings around that limit the view somewhat, but it is ok.

You need to remember and if you don't you will be reminded often, that you are stayin IN the Hardrock Hotel but not AT the Hardrock Hotel.When we went to the lounge on the top floor in the evening, we were told that we would have to pay a cover charge even though we had our "room" key. Every restaurant in the hotel informs you that you are not on their guest list and you get seated accordingly.

Daily maid service was ok but they never left enough towels or any face cloths.

It was adequate for what we wanted but not spectacular.

“if you plan to stay at the hard rock - stay in this Suite”

thought we would stay at the hard rock for a weekend while in transit from Cartagena. The hotel is much nicer than expected. The restaurant, spa, rooftop lounge/ bar were more upscale than expected.

This room has a living room, kitchenette area and 2 bathrooms. I saw a floor plan for other rooms on the floor and this room is nearly twice the size of most rooms.

Connecting with the owner and Sharmilla was very easy. Getting the keys and returning them was easy.

This is a hotel room / suite. There is no In suite laundry or stove.

We had such a good time, and Sharmilla gave us some good tips.

I recommend this Hard rock and specifically recommend using this suite if you plan to stay at this hotel. The owners are great to work with.

“Excellent room and friendly hosts”
Reviewed 18 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Sharmilla and Ajit were very responsive and the room was wonderfully located. You receive all the amenities of the hotel in a wonderfully situated room overlooking the water a partial of the skyline. I'd stay here everytime I came to Panama. Much larger than standard rooms.

“Amazing view from the 28th floor!!!”
Reviewed 13 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Upon on our arrival, Sharmila escorted us to our rental. The view from the 28th floor was absolutely amazing! The housekeeper came daily and did a great job in cleaning our room. Including the kitchen area, which we had used many times.I am not sure as to why the previous reviewer did not have dishes and silverware, but we had silverware, dishes and bowls. Definitely not a kitchen to cook in, but a microwave and coffee maker was available, which suit ed us fine. The room was in front of the elevator, which I thought would be problem... do to the constant noise of people coming and going. Surprisingly, the room was very quiet and any noises beyond the door was hardly even heard.If you us the pool, you can get towels from the pool area, which we did not know. I highly recommend this rental!
