Another couple asked us to join them for diner. The four of us wanted to try this restaurant. We were seated at the first of two cooking/eating stations where the food is cooked in front of you. The second teppanykai table had plenty of room for us to be seated there, but they decided to put us at the empty one. Then a family came in as was seated at the table where I thought we would have been seated. Come to find out, it was the hotel manager with his wife and child. They were also served diner before us. Guess it helps not to be a guest here if you want really good service.
Our waiter had to fill in as our chef (Yes, you got it. The chef was too busy serving the big boss to have time to prepare our food.) Halt way through the preparations of our meal the real chef came over to tell our waiter/chef that he was doing something wrong. Since I was the only one who spoke Spanish no one else understood.
Our table ended up with eight people eating diner. The entire process was all messed up. They cooked a lot of rice (which became cold), some food was brought over from the other grill, and our lobster was served last. The lobster was cold and very over cooked.
I am sure the hotel manager and his family enjoyed their personal attention from the chef. Their food looked really good. So if you want to eat here invite the hotel manager. It is the only way you will get a good meal.
