I have stayed in many, many different hostels around Nicaragua, and this one takes the cake for being the dirtiest and least comfortable, with the most unsettling living conditions and overall complete lack of hygiene. The bathroom for the dorm rooms is so small you can wash your hands, take a shower, and sit on the toilet all at the same time. Searching for a larger space to shower, one stumbles across the shared bathroom, where the showers are swarming with mosquitoes, a health hazard in the summer months because of zika and chikungunya. The trash cans in the bathrooms are always overflowing, and half the time the toilets don't work.
The beds are plastic hard mattresses, and the sheets never stay on the mattresses so they slide off during the night. This means that you're essentially sleeping on the exposed plastic mattress, that undoubtedly has never been cleaned. If you have no sense of self-preservation, by all means, stay here, catch a couple tropical diseases as a nice souvenir of your trip to Managua, but otherwise, stay at literally any other hostel in Managua.More
