My husband and I chose this venue to have our Ukrainian wedding at! It was absolutely the BEST decision! This hotel is one of the best for any romantic event or stay right in the heart of the old city of Kyiv. The place is absolutely magical with it's patio and very green garden on the slopes, with beautiful Italian style interior decor.
Our wedding was on May 14th, 2016 and I've spent couple months communicating with the hotel staff prior to that. The banquet manager Ekaterina was absolutely of a great help! She is super prompt with her email replies - I did my wedding planning from Texas most of the time making 2 visits to the venue during the whole 5 months of planning process and this was totally enough. Ekaterina always provided photos of a banquet location or the sizes of the ceremony venue and never made me wait on her replies. She was very helpful with menu planning, assisted the decor and floral company I've hired and satisfied all of my wedding requests regarding the ceremony and reception venues. She also helped accommodate a few of our friends who traveled to the wedding with us from Texas and made sure their stay would be pleasant.
The staff of the hotel in ALL English-speaking, smiley and helphul! The food in the Terrace restaurant is great and very gourmet and it combines ukrainian and modern european dishes which was also perfect for the wedding reception.
I would definitely recommend Vozdvyzhesnky hotel for any type of event whether it's business or personal one and for any type of visit - both romantic and business.
Normally it is really hard to find a central city hotel with no noise problem. In Kiev this hotel is the solution. It is very quiet and still very close to walk to a lot of the nice things in Kiev. The reception is very helpful and competent. The rooms are not super beautiful but ok and the bed is good. So overall out of the four Hotels i stayed in Kiev it is by far the best.

Our room was very clean and tidy. Honestly, we expected a bit larger room.

Stayed a couple of nights on business and appreciated the cobbled streets and greater character of the old quarter. The Vozdvyhensky is a pleasant boutique style hotel with decent well maintained rooms and good staff service. I imagine it will be nice in summer with the courtyard garden etc.
Had a superb omelette for breakfast, but would have preferred not to have constant musak in the background as I ate it. Most things about this hotel are very pleasant, although they would benefit from having larger more generous towels ( ! )...
