We went here yesterday as we would like to see whether this deserves such high rating on tripadvisor.
Conclusion for food it does, service needs improvement though. We were sitting with empty glasses multipe times and also had to ask for deserts menu.
Price is not that much lower compared to e.g. the Artist.
In summary great food, we loved the mushrooms, duck, pate and trout.
Great cocktails, although they ran out of ingredients for the #2, which is disappointing if you have a list of only 5 cocktails. The ones we had were good though.
Keep up the good cooking and a bit more attention to service, and you deserve to stay at least in top 10 of Bucharest.

We went because of TA reviews and were not disappointed. The beet salad was tasty but the entrees rules the night. The chicken with wild mushrooms was divine and the trout with artichokes was spectacular. This chef pays attention to sauces and presentation. Friendly wait staff. Food took a while to come out, but everything was perfectly cooked. Couldn’t have been better.

After reading all the 'rave reviews' on this site, decided to give Kane a try. Firstly, this is not fine dining; the seating area is very cafetiriere style, so don't expect comfortable chairs with cushions. The menu is (as others have pointed out) very small and limited. If you're vegetarian, there is only one dish to choose from - black lentils. We tried the goats cheese and beetroot to start which was ok. Followed by the perch and the aforementioned black lentils. Both were cooked, garnished and presented well enough. We had the rhum baba to follow which was also good. The wine list is tiny and only had one Romanian white available. Service was friendly but not over knowledgeable about either the food or drink served there - not surprising being a 20 y/o student. The bill was around 350 lei, including wine and cocktails, so around 75 euro. Probably on the expensive side for Bucharest, but reasonable for tourists.
I don't understand the other reviews and the top rated restaurant listing on Trip Advisor for Bucharest restaurants.

Smart spacious relaxed
The fashionable young french couple nearby brought their dog who sat calmly under the table. Pourquoi pas

One of those menus where you want all - imaginative and inventive dishes using local ingredients all of the highest quality, the flavours blending together with ease
Absolutely delicious, each mouthful made you smile
Good range of vegetarian, fish, white meat, and red meat dishes
Top work well done

Been there Having a dinner with girlfriend in our Easter day. When arriving at the restaurant from outside it seems a fine dining restaurant but soon as you enter you can check that is more a trendy place where locals come to enjoy their food and drinks.

Saying that we sat down in a cozy table, the staff were very friendly and very helpful in what we would eat, and as they explain all is made with Romanian ingredients except the chocolate and olive oil :)

We ate very good starters ( Wild mushroom toast with mangold Leaf and Red Beetroot with horseradish snow ) , and then we order the 2 main plates which were really good, my other half ate the Perch File with cauli flower couscous and i choose the Beef Cheek with carrots, we both enjoyed them very much and despite the trendy and casual look of the restaurant the food was really fine dining.

To end we ate the 2 desserts they had; girlfriend ate the pear tart which according to her was very tasty, i hate the Aerated Chocolate Cream which was magnificent.

Overall was all good, staff is very friendly and have plenty of knowledge of all the plates and wines in the restaurant, and the main reason we came there the food was really good, and actually the prices are quite ok for a quality food like that.
