Very peaceful, well tended, & impressive for the number of visitors distributing flowers amongst their loved ones' graves. Worth a visit, & accessible by bus from town.

This place is one of the most beautiful cemeteries I have seen in my life. The arcades, cupolas and the church at the entryway are must-see sights. Also, some of the monuments throughout the cemetery are true masterpieces of art. Walking along the paths of Mirogoj is a very relaxing thing to do, especially if you are there on a warm, sunny day.

Even it's already written and said that Mirogoj is one of the nicest cemeteries in the world, I have to write it here again - old walls, a lot of trees, a lot of leafs, beautiful passing through the old part of cemetery and peaceful place to visit. Great photos as well if u r into photography! If u in Zagreb for at least 2 days, make sure to go there.

Went to Mirogoj cemetery taking our first bus, the 106 in front of St Catherine's cathedral. It is a remarkable cemetery done in grand style with an enormous "arcade". It is open to the public. It is highly worthwhile to visit for two reasons: the remarkable arcade the holds a great variety of family burial crypts and the unique intermixing of Cristian and Jewish burial sites. It was a memorable visit for us.

Exterior was lovely- like going to a palace.
The cemetry itself- no English "signposting" so find your own way around- ask other visitors. This is an old cemetry, but not that old in real terms- the jewish area was interesting architecturally, but most of it is 20th century.
