Tram 12 and 11 can easily take you from city center to this park although it is located almost out of city map. It is very large and full of forest. Very nice for a walk or simply get away from noisy world

10 mins taxi drive will take you to the forrest. Maybe, the wood! Sunbathe in one of lovely meadows, or stroll among the trees, your batteries will be anewed!

Founded in the late 1700s (!), this is a park with some lovely classical European elements. Serene, well laid-out, centrally located with nice ponds, walking trails, playgrounds, zoo, and sufficient facilities. We spent a gorgeous autumn afternoon and enjoyed it!

This park is very close to the city and easily accessible by walking or biking. It has many trails that are handicapped accessible and easy for those with physical challenges to enjoy nature.

Since we had time I felt it would be nice to take Anayka to the zoo.
We took the tram no 11 and reached Maksimir park , where the zoo is located.
What a beauty ! The landscape, the lakes, the beautiful trees made this place look like the garden of Eden.
This must be one of the world's best parks. This park is one of greatest masterpiece of garden architecture in Croatia.
One can easily spend hours relaxing in the calm and serene atmosphere.
Within the park you must see the Bishop Haulik’s Villa, the Echo Pavilion , the Gazebo, the Swiss House, St. Juraj Chapel, and Obelisk . You can also see a number of sculptures.
It is a captivating park and worth a visit.
The zoo is also located inside the area of the park.
The park is open 24/7.
Entry is free.

If you need some nature, this is the place to visit. It's not a very strenuous walk, but it can be a long walk if you want to make it to lake 4 and 5. I found it really relaxing and a great way to catch up with friends on a walk!

We took a stroll through the park on our last morning in Zagreb (on this trip, I have been here 2 times prior as well). It is a very relaxing place, plenty of shaded areas with hundreds of places to just stop, sit and take it all in. An absolute must see when in Zagreb!

Rent a bike, take a walk, enjoy hidden gem in the middle of the City. Just few minutes from the main square.

We took the tram here only 10 mins on it. Beautiful day chilling surrounded by lakes trees and great walks. There is a restaurant at entrance where we got coffee after our morning
