I enjoyed my stay. Because the staff are friendly and helpful. And it’s a great location. And the rooms are nice.
But like many reviews struggle to see it as a 5 star hotel
I think the staff earned it a 4 but it really struggles to get above a 3 as a review
No one can blame them for welcoming huge coach party bookings. They are running a business after all
But. There are consequences. Like. Having every single seat in the breakfast room occupied by coach parties so you have to eat your breakfast in the lobby!
And the buffet looks like a war zone with stuff having run out or scattered all over tables
I understand it’s a business but breakfast like this is not even a 3 star experience.
The staff are really helpful. The nice man on reception went all the way down to the store to find me an umbrella on a day it poured with rain
The girls in breakfast brought us coffee out to reception because we had nowhere to sit inside
And I loved the closeness to old town
But owners/managers need to decide what their image is to be
5 star hotel?
3 star coach party venue?
They can’t be both More
