The hotel has a good location, it it near Punta Carretas shopping mall. I was dissapointed that we had view on a construction. So it was loud from 6.30 am in the morning. Also I think Sheration should have some a high range of quality..It was like 3* hotel. Poor breakfast, not cleany near pool - super hot pool. Not a temperature for swimming.

I stay at this hotel at least twice a month and each and every time they have been able to keep an absolutely spectacular level of service. Traveling for work is tiring and these people , rooms, service, every detail of the hotel makes my stay an absolute bliss. Thank you!

It is a typical Sheraton Hotel. Service is good , location is convenient. People used to stay in Radisson Hotel in Plaza Independencia, but nowadays over there specially weekends is not crowded and it is not safe.
The mayority of tourist stayed close to the Shoppings. It is safer and you have everything.

8 very comfortable days in room 1910 (nice double aspect corner windows).

I did not eat much in the restaurant* but had a very fine lunch the day I arrived - the gravlax made with wild Chilean salmon was superb. Good wine list with some decent wines by the glass. [* most of the best restaurants in Montevideo are within 1-4 blocks of the hotel]

One disappointing thing - no coffee machine in the room.

There is a lot of construction ongoing in front of and on one side of the hotel but I did not find it disturbing (rooms reasonably, but not entirely soundproof).

Room Tip: ask for a room with double aspect windows (e.g. 1910)

I am currently here on business for a week and would not say that this hotel is at the same standard as other Sheratons.

My first observation is that there are no tea and coffee making facilities in the room. This is a really basic requirement for a hotel and I was disappointed that it wasn't present.

Although staying on one of the SPG floors, an extra $60.00 per day would have to be paid for access to the executive club area. This is usually included on other bookings.

There is a major construction project ongoing (July 2016) directly across the road from the hotel and angle grinding and hammering starts from 06:00. This is not the fault of the hotel but I do think they should either inform you or offer a choice of rooms. I also believe they should be speaking to the construction company to arrange that the major disruption starts after 07:00 each day.

The breakfast is limited with little variety although it will do.

The rooms are clean and have all of the other facilities expected of a Sheraton. The staff are pleasant and helpful and also speak English which was helpful for me.

All round not bad as a business traveler hotel.
