The property is beautiful and conveniently located, just a short walk to town and the ruins, and right at the train station (yet somehow nice and quiet). Friendly and helpful staff. Delicious restaurant. A terrific “warm up” for Machu Picchu!

We took the train from Aguascalientes to Ollantaytambo and had lunch at the restaurant of Wendy Weeks, The Albergue. The restaurant is super convenient because you essentially get off the train and walk into the restaurant .
I had the flower salad with a mustard dressing . Really refreshing after days hiking in the mountains . The salad was small and topped with flowers small cherry tomatoes and zucchini squash. Really a perfect sized dinner salad before the main course. My wife and I split a chicken with mushroom gravy and quinoa dish and the pesto noddles dish . The mushroom sauce on the chicken was perfect and the pesto noodles had to be one of the best pesto dishes I have ever had . (I have made my own pesto but this pesto sauce was on a whole higher level. ) I would recommend all the above dishes as excellent food choices .

A wonderful peaceful sanctuary right at the train station. Don't let that fact bother you; my room was the balcony facing the trains, and they did not disturb me in the least. The hotel thoughtfully provides earplugs in your room, but I did not need them. Absolutely lush and gorgeous grounds, a fantastic oasis to soothe your spirit and heal your soul. Refresh yourself in the wood-fired sauna-yours for the asking!! Included made to order breakfast is another treat.

Great restaurant down by the train station in Ollantaytambo. Beautiful, delicious dishes, elegantly presented. Desserts were great - try the corn cake! Very reasonably priced. You will like it there. I think this is more than 200 characters.

el Albergue Ollantatambo was highly recommended, to eat in Ollantatambo and they were right on.
we had the alpaca burger, rico!! it is in the train station as well as the charming hotel. the service was also excellent.
so if you make the first stop on the Machu Pichu train for an overnight or lunch or a day trip from Cusco, this is the place to go!!!
