During a recent family visit we had lunch at Toshi and were treated to delicious meal. We started with the "choncha de abanico" which was a next to perfect amalgam of Peruvian and Japanese cuisine. Next we had a couple of maki rolls which seemed at first glance very simple but surprised by the depth of different flavors. As main dish we shared the arroz con pato, a Japanese interpretation of a Peruvian classic dish, basically maigret de canard on top of cilantro rice, simply outstanding. We concluded this sumptuous meal with arroz con leche, again a simple dish with many surprising flavors.
And I certainly don't want to forget to mention that the wait staff was always friendly and very attentive.
We will certainly go back there and explore more of this great restaurant.
