Well, after having heard much of Malabar. We decided to experience it ourselves. We came with high expectations and on the whole we were not totally disappointed. Yet not completely amazed.
The food was incredible, right from the tasters , Jamon Paiche, Seafood Empanadas, all the way through, sublime flavours.
The one thing that let it down was the service. On a quiet Monday night, restaurant only half full, we found the multitude of staff had to called, or catch as they walked passed. Its disappointing to be waiting for a drink or water and to look around and see 5 staff chatting and laughing in the bar area.
The wine list is very ordinary. perhaps 20 wines in total. Whilst I understand you don't need 25 pages, what was there was very limited. 8 red wines, only 3 varieties? Come on!
I'd go back for the food again and again! The front of house needs serious work though.
