This is a beautiful hotel. The location could not be better. I was happy from the moment we walked in. It is extremely well kept, staff is incredibly attentive, and the concierge very helpful. Our room was clean, spacious, and the bathroom was large. The Executive lounge was a great commodity to use. Breakfast had a variety of options, I was very satisfied. Then the light lunch, wine and cheese hour and light dinner service in the lounge all made our stay even more pleasant. The views were amazing from our room, and its location right across the street from the Larcomar Sopping Center was ideal. Overall in a very nice and safe location.

Best spot in Mirasflores. Right across from the ocean and Larcomar.
Was in a corner room on the 14th floor and the views were amazing! These rooms have the most windows so you have an ocean view on one side and a city view on the other.
The food in the executive lounge was excellent. You don't even need to leave the hotel with all the different foods provided throughout the day. You even have access to the lounge after hours if you need to grab a drink or snack. I would even pay the extra fee for lounge access if I wasn't a gold member.

When I come back to Lima, I won't stay anywhere else but the Marriott!

Nice location on the ocean with many good restaurants nearby. The hotel is luxurious, rooms are large and well furnished, and bathrooms are great with a separate shower and soaking tub. The executive lounge and exercise facilities were especially nice.

Room Tip: Ocean view of course.

My review might be slightly bias having come straight from the rather primitive Amazon accommodations. J W Marriott lived up to all my expections. Reservations online at their website and check in were a breeze. Hotel common areas and rooms were modern, clean and beautiful. Our room did feel a little cramped with two double beds in it. Great ocean view even though a little hazy. Complimentary water in room and wifi in lobby for free. We were just so happy to be back in civilization and have electricity and hot water. We ordered the American breakfast via room service. Wow that was a lot of food! The hotel is right across the street from the Lacromar shopping center with lots of stores and restaurants and perfectly safe to walk around at night. Good happy hour in bar with 2 for 1 drinks and hotel looked after our bags because our flight was not until that evening and even offered if wanted to use the gym etc. to shower/change later that day.

We took the yellow cab directly across the street to the downtown center area. They have a posted lit of prices.. I think it was around 25 sole which was much cheaper than the fancy hotel Mercedes taxis. We also did this when we were ready to return to the airport.

A word of caution: Lima is not the safest city. Be careful about walking around, especially at night. The hotel advised s not to walk 8 blocks to a restaurant we wanted to go to because it's not safe for "gringos" at night. When you arrive at Lima airport, ignore all the taxi touts and go to the international arrival area (to the right) where you can arrange a "green" taxi with posted rates to take you to your hotel. We went with one of the green taxi touts who changed the price when we got to the hotel. beware!

Overall, thoroughly enjoyed the luxury of the JW Marriott and all it had to offer in Lima.

Room Tip: We were on 16th floor. Did not have any problems with street noise.

Excellent hotel, fantastic location and great facilities. Spent last week there attending a conference within the hotel. Breakfast and dinner were a delight as there is a large variety of food on offer. Staff are extremely helpful. Internet in the room is very fast as is the wifi. Every room has a sea view (a bit misty during the day this time of year.
