We stayed three nights in July. We started and ended our Peru trip here. The first room had a view of an ugly delapitated building. The second room had a view of the city that was much more pleasant. Both rooms were spaceous. The had lot of room to spread out. The wall art was odd. The bathrooms allow for hearing the entire conversation of the next room through a wall vent. The food at breakfast was plentiful and good. The "snack bar" at the hotel was pricey and slow for sandwiches for lunch as a group. The bar was beautiful and well stocked. The two for one price on Pisco Sours was worth it from 5-7 or something. Drinks are expensive. The local beer, Cosquena, comes in three varieties. There is a dark sweet one. There is a kind of amber and then a more regular ale. It is hard to get the bartenders to really explain that. Mostly, there isn't much for service a Peru bars in hotels. You have to seek service. The snacks that they are offer are interesting. There is a broad bean, some kind or potato chip and something else. The walk to the ocean is about 15 minutes on level ground. It is worth it to see the bay with the hang gliders and the view. There is a grocery store about 5-8 minutes away for stuff. The pool was under repair when we were there.
