“Good location--nice rooms--decent breakfast.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 September 2012

We stayed three nights in July. We started and ended our Peru trip here. The first room had a view of an ugly delapitated building. The second room had a view of the city that was much more pleasant. Both rooms were spaceous. The had lot of room to spread out. The wall art was odd. The bathrooms allow for hearing the entire conversation of the next room through a wall vent. The food at breakfast was plentiful and good. The "snack bar" at the hotel was pricey and slow for sandwiches for lunch as a group. The bar was beautiful and well stocked. The two for one price on Pisco Sours was worth it from 5-7 or something. Drinks are expensive. The local beer, Cosquena, comes in three varieties. There is a dark sweet one. There is a kind of amber and then a more regular ale. It is hard to get the bartenders to really explain that. Mostly, there isn't much for service a Peru bars in hotels. You have to seek service. The snacks that they are offer are interesting. There is a broad bean, some kind or potato chip and something else. The walk to the ocean is about 15 minutes on level ground. It is worth it to see the bay with the hang gliders and the view. There is a grocery store about 5-8 minutes away for stuff. The pool was under repair when we were there.

Room Tip: You might ask for a higher floor to see over the crappy neighboring buildings. OR, you might want...

Stayed two nights in a hectic schedule that did not allow for much lazing around the hotel and exploring/using all its facilities.

Typical inner city multi-storey 4 star hotel mostly delivering on 4 star expectations in staff training, room facilities, etc.

Not particularly outstanding in any way other than its excellent location for the tourist. All the surrounding streets had a safe feel with cafes bars restaurants galore and a large shopping mall not to far away.

The Alma restaurant was clean, professional, with pretty good choice of meals available.

Only one lift operating on the days I stayed there (I think they are undergoing a refurbishment program - not just a minor outage) which meant using the stairs back and forth to the 5th floor where my room was as the one remaining lift took forever to arrive and was always packed with guests and bags.

The porter we had the interaction with was exceedingly helpful and went out of his way, but also had his hand out on each occasion

Room Tip: While the lifts are undergoing refurbishment, try to get a very low floor!!

Beautiful hotel and excellent service. Rooms are very modern and comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was outstanding. Pool was wonderful, and the onsite bar was great and convenient. Would definitely stay there again when visiting Lima.

This beautiful hotel was in a great location. Service was outstanding and their restaurant "Alma" was great. People were very friendly and had excellent recommendations about what places to visit. We will definitely stay in this hotel the next time we visit Lima. We also stayed at the Casa Andina Private Collection in Cusco and in the Sacred Valley (Valle Sagrado). I strongly recommend this hotel for a great peruvian experience.

we stayed at the casa andina for three nights in July '12. We had two rooms as a family of four. I have zero complaints. Everyone and everything were wonderful. We had breakfast included with our rate, and that too was delicious. The hotel is in a great location, easily walkable to all of Miraflores area. Particularly close to Park Kennedy. Would definitely stay here again if travelling to Lima.
