Nice place to stay

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 15 Apr 2024
My friends and I stayed here on a recent trip to Peru. The positive: The staff were extremely nice and accomodating. They have coca tea and oxygen on hand to help you adjust to the altitude, which turned out to be critical in my case! The stay includes breakfast (simple but lovely!) and the hotel is right in the heart of things - across the street from the mercado San Pedro, and just a few blocks from the Plaza de Armas. They have laundry service on site and the grounds are beautiful. The negative: the shower ceiling was full of mold, and while we were there it started raining...and unfortunately there was a leak in the roof so it started dripping on my bed in the middle of the night. I did inform reception in the morning and they were super apologetic.

The most wonderful understated hotel.
had a 2 night stay here and we all enjoyed the in house massages also.
wonderful helpful staff, great rooms, very quiet, beautiful gardens and a lovely breakfast buffet. Next to the amazing San Pedro market.

Room tip: treat yourself to a massage, take some time to wander around the market

This was absolutely the best hotel we could have stayed at. It is an old monastery I am pretty sure which made it very interesting and boutique. The gardeners there are amazing and filled the property with beauty. Breakfast was wonderful and a breakfast box was made up without us asking one day. The cleaning staff did a very thorough job in our room. Front desk staff knew English. Good coordination between front desk and tour companies who came to pick us up. Laundry service was prompt. There is also someone who will come to offer massage services from what I saw. Best of all, the location could not be beat!! It was PERFECT!

Room tip: Our room facing outward with a window over the road was a bit noisy. Even so, I did like looking out on the street. The inward facing courtyard room we got later was quiet.

This hotel had a good location across from the market and a short walk to the main square. We stayed in a family room that had two separate rooms and three beds. The rooms were very clean. Breakfast was good.

I would recommend Hotel Monasterio San Pedro to a friend.
I left my phone at hotel monasterio and the team there were very helpful with getting it back. Big thanks especially to Astuna and Liz.

Good location, nice staff and clean rooms.

There is a restaurant there also but we did not eat here as there is many options in cusco.
